RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. The Judges decision and that of the Official Steward is final. Any objections must be lodged with the secretary on the day of the event with a cash sum of 20.00 (will be forfeited if objection is not held) 2. Legal Liability: neither the Organisers nor any persons acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident or illness to ponies/horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property. 3. The Committee reserve the right to alter or amend the schedule and refuse entry, if necessary. 4. Hard hats to the standard acceptable to BRC must be worn, correctly fastened, at all times whilst mounted. Body protectors which comply with current BRC rules are advised. 5. The Committee reserves the right to ask anybody to leave the show ground, with no compensation, for any abuse (verbal or physical) of horses/ponies, other riders, officials or members of the public 6. All classes will be run under Mercian Rules and/or BRC Rules (2014) 7. All competitors must warm up their own horses. 8. No entry fee will be refunded without a Doctor or Vet s letter. 9. Rosettes not collected on the day will be forfeit unless a SAE and 3.50 is left with the Secretary on the day of the event. 10. All horses and ponies must be at least four years old to compete and no stallions allowed. 11. Each Team is to provide one helper to pick up poles in the arena whilst their team is competing. www.dancerssuithire.co.uk MERCIAN RULES Teams of four with the best three scores to count. The Show Jumping classes1-3, will be run as a BSJA Single Phase. (All competitors jump the un-timed 1 st section and then continue straight onto the timed 2 nd section, unless eliminated. Faults may be accrued in either or both sections. For Style Jumping horses to have snaffle bits only, with simple nosebands (inc. grackle, flash, drop, cavesson). Neck straps and whips are allowed, but no martingales or spurs. HEALTH AND SAFETY 1. The organisers of this event and the landowners have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all official stewards plus BBC Committee members. 2. Emergencies: emergency services must have access to all parts of the event site at all times and members of the public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access. In case of an emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest official or dial 999 on the nearest telephone. 3. Horses can be easily frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid any behaviour which might alarm horses. 4. Dogs are allowed but must be on a lead at ALL times. 5. Children must be supervised at all times. 6. INSURANCE; please ensure that you have adequate/appropriate insurance for rider, horse, property and third party.
