Search for Parkland FoPS & Parent Council Thank you so much for supporting your school Summer Fair! On Friday 29th June, The Parkland Federation held its annual Summer Fair. The sun shone, lots of people came and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time! Thank you so much to everyone who made it possible - to the parent helpers/year 6 children and all the teachers - thank you for giving up your time and for offering all your support to make this event possible. Thank you to all the businesses that very kindly donated to our raffle S and also, to every single person that came along and supported the event. It is far more than just a money raising event - seeing families enjoy themselves and children smiling is a huge reward. There were so many attractions at the fair including dancing, singing, bouncy castles, tombola s, as well as a variety of stalls, candy floss, a fantastic raffle and a lucky number mountain bike draw. Congratulations to all those lucky raffle winners we hope you all enjoy your prizes! An incredible total of 3,000 was raised and will go towards funding future projects and events. Raffle Prize Winners If you were lucky enough to win one of the amazing prizes at the Summer Fair, we would be grateful if you could send us any photos you have of you enjoying your prize. Whether it be a family day out at Fort Fun or Drusillas; on the i360; being pampered with a haircut; bouncing at a trampoline park or at a Speedway meeting we would love to see these. They may even be featured in a future newsletter! Please forward any photos to: fops@theparklandfederation.org Thank you! FoPS 2017/18 School Year I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all members of the FoPS team who, without them, we would not have been able to make this school year the success that it has been. We are so lucky to have so many events going on for all our children to enjoy, and we really do appreciate all the time that FoPS, parents and teachers give up to help make these events happen. We can t do it without you and we are always grateful for your support. Michelle - FoPS Chair

Charity Book Sale The Parkland Federation were lucky enough to be selected to receive monies collected at TESCO Extra Lottbridge Drove and the TESCO Metro Langney store, for the sale of second-hand books between 1st April - 31st May. FoPS are very pleased to announce that we made a grand total of 860!! The money raised from this will be put towards modifications to the gazebo outside the Infant Reception classes. Thank you to everyone who kindly donated books towards this. The cheque was presented to us by TESCO staff. Lucie from the TESCO Metro, Hampden Park store and Tony from Lakeside Tea Chalet in Hampden Park very kindly donated a box of Horrible Histories Rotten Romans books to Year 3 teacher, Mrs Walker. The TESCO Bags of Help campaign for Parkland Pond has now finished!! We are still waiting for the results to be announced but will update you with these as soon as we can! Once we know where we came, we can begin drawing up plans to redevelop the pond area. Keep everything crossed and watch this space
