Western Mass Champions and State Final 16 We so proud of our Boys Varsity Basketball Team! After winning the Western Mass Championship they went on to win the State semi-finals and moved on to the State Championship game this weekend at Springfield College, the home of basketball. This is the first time a EHS basketball team made it to the State Finals. They fought and played hard but lost to a team from Watertown. They represented EHS well and we can not be more proud of their accomplishment and their season. A big thanks to Coach Brian Miller and Assistant coaches Nick and Andrew for all their hard work and dedication to EHS sports. We would also like to acknowledge our AD, Patti Dougherty for supporting our players and working hard to continue to build our athletic program. Finally, we would like thank all of the parents for their years of support. Without them their children could not have reach this high level of excellence. Lastly, thank you to our fans who continue to come to games and cheer on our EAGLES!!!

Western Mass Champions and State Finalist Congratulations to our Eagles Hockey Team and Coach Grise for winning the Western Mass Finals and competing in the State Championship game. They showed character, sportsmanship and represented EHS well! We are proud of them and their season. Thank you to our hockey parents who have spent endless hours supporting their children so they could play hockey.

EHS Band Marched at the Saint Patrick's Day Parade

We The People Spaghetti Fundraiser Thank you to everyone that came out to support our We the People students to raise money to help them get to Washington D.C. It is truly amazing how much our community donated to the silent auction. Thank you to our community members, parents and staff that volunteered their time and made this night a big success.

The EHS Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will be in the NOHO Pride Parade on Saturday, May 5. This event happens rain or shine. If teachers, staff or parents are interested in marching with the GSA, please let Mrs. Soverow know. Join the Easthampton City-Wide Clean Up Day Saturday, May 5th From 8am to 12pm The pond committee is once again organizing the city wide clean up day. This year they are introducing high-tech data gathering using an app called Litterati. We encourage students and their families to volunteer for this community-building event which will be held on Sat. May 5th from 8 - Noon. They are happy to provide community service acknowledgement if needed. Here is more information on Litterati and how to use it. It s really simple. Log onto the app. Before you pick up a piece of litter (plastic bottle, straw, coffee cup, McDonalds wrapper, etc. just snap a photo, apply a hashtag, (#McDonalds wrapper, #Soda Can, etc.) and hit upload. The app geo tags the location and specific type of litter that s being picked up. The data is logged by Litterati and a map of our local community shows what and where common areas of litter are located. The data will be used to help change behavior, notify any local businesses that this is happening near their shops and possibly take it to the next level of becoming a Keep America Beautiful affiliate city.
