Treloweth Summer Holidays in Explorers 31 st July 1 st September

Forest School Week 31 st July 4 th August In Forest School Week, Dave, who is a fully qualified Forest School Leader will guide the children through some fun and exciting Forest School Activities. Forest School is a fun way of teaching children the curriculum through exploring our world around us. Here are the planned activities for the week: Monday Nature Art create beautiful works of art with natural materials on a natural background. Tuesday Nature Walk Go on a nature walk around the nursery and discover the amazing plant and wildlife all around us. Wednesday Building Nature Homes build homes for bugs, hedgehogs, birds and frogs. Thursday Bugs, Bugs, Bugs! Explore and handle a wide variety of insects, bugs and invertebrates and learn all about them. Friday Stick Man! Build our own stick man and read the story. Then take our own stick men on a little adventure!

World Tour Week 7 th August 11 th August We are on our holidays and we re going around the world in 5 days! Join us on a different continent every day to explore the cultures, traditions, music, people, celebrations and games from all around the planet. We will even have a special constructed menu for the week to show off some of the meals from around the globe: Monday Asia join in with some Bhangra dancing, try some Chinese tea and make a huge Oriental Dragon! Tuesday South America Time to dance in a carnival parade, play along with some samba music and even explore a lost jungle. Wednesday Europe Join in with some Greek and Spanish dancing, make some Tapas and make our own Eiffel Tower or Leaning Tower of Pizza. Thursday Africa Learn about wild animals and make masks to become our favourites, discover the Egyptians, build a pyramid and even make our own tribal drums! Friday North America Try out some cheerleading and join in with some sports such as American football, basket ball and baseball!

Active Play Week 14 th August 18 th August A time for the children to get active and push their bodies to do new activities and learn some new physical skills and games: Monday Garden Games Join in with some traditional garden games such as hoopla and ball games and a good old fashioned friend s picnic. Tuesday Soft Play Time to jump and climb, crawl and wriggle through some soft play including ball pools, tunnels and tents! Wednesday Baby Yoga Become serene and at one with our Baby Yoga class, forming shapes and stretching our bodies Thursday Soft Play Another chance to try out Tuesdays Soft Play! Friday Baby Zumba Get active and move to the music in a baby Zumba session. Active and jumpy music for the children to move to and with the inclusion of scarfs, pom-poms and flags to dance with.

Sensory Week 21 st August 25 th August Time to tickle our senses. Each day will have different activities to help stimulate a different sense and to help promote the children s communication in describing what it is like: Monday Sight The children can explore lots of different coloured lights in our sensory den. There will be painting, rainbow oats sensory play, exploring shiny objects and see through colour panels and more. Tuesday Smell Have a chance to follow your nose with scented painting, exploring smelling bottles, scented playdough and chopped fruits in water. Wednesday Sound Explore music from around the world and make our own instruments to play along and join in with singing and sound activities. Thursday Touch Have fun delving through our Oceans sensory tray with sea animals and real seaweed, gooey cooked and colourful pasta, gloop, slime and more. Friday Taste Try something new with food tasting with fruits and vegetables from around the world and even make our own smoothies.

Hobby Week 28 th August 1 st September Come to nursery this week and learn a new hobby. Every day will have a different activity for the children to learn about, to experience and to explore. All of their new found skills will culminate in a big talent show at the end of the week! Monday BANK HOLIDAY Tuesday Artistry - Learn a new art form from painting, to craft, clay work to pastels, we will have a variety to try. Wednesday Music Grab an instrument and get playing. The children will get to try out a variety of new instruments from keyboards and guitars to didgeridoo s and Cypriote Flutes! Thursday Circus Skills Time to get silly and try out tightrope walking, stilt walking, hula-hooping juggling and join clown school2 and get faces painted too! Friday Party Day! Show off your funky dance moves with a day full of dance and physical expression and of course party food and games!
