Thee Indian steell sector, comprising steel makers of all variants in terms of size and capacities, requires marching ahead inn a more organized manner to enablee exchange of o information easier with technology providers and in turn technology transfer to the recipient is realistic. Against this backdrop, a one day techno-fair International Conclave on Iron & Steel Making (ICISM-2015) is being organised by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bhilai Chapter, in association with Bhilai Steel Plant, (a unit Steel Authority of India Limited), Bhilai Engineering Corporation (BEC) and BEEKAY Engineering Limited. The Conclave aims: To unite stalwarts and professionals from world class technology supplier, equipment manufacturer, experts, consultants, contractors etc. in a rendezvous to showcase andd disseminatee latest prevalent trends and products inn their respective fields, the innovations they have developed, new technical benchmarks attained, optimumm utilization of manufacturing capacities, usage of renewablee energy resources with emphasis on mitigation of o global warming/carbonn footprint and clean environment development that is sustainable and inclusive for the generations to come. To provide a technical forum for sharing innovations, discussing challenges & opportunities, impartingg industrial application experiences, deliberating various R&D efforts, use of Automation an informationn technology (IT) and exploring emerging trends in the area of Quality Iron and Steel Making. The conclave is of the highest order in keeping with the standards of our institution and is all set to bring together ann august gathering of a large number of prospective Steel makers, Mining Expert and equipment manufacturer from national and international steel and mining sector, thus trying to bridge the gap with information exchange on the existing and the emerging new technologies with a view to optimize steel making cost and draw solutions to other related phenomena. Expecting an overwhelming participation from India and Overseas by Steel Producers, Technologists, Academicians and technology providers, the first (ICISM-2015) is being organized. ICISM-2015 will facilitate a unique platformm for thought provoking interaction among scientists and technologists from research / academic institutes, technologyy developers, steel makers, maintenance & project personnel, consultants and manufacturers for steel industry.

Prospective contributors aree requested to submit the abstract of about 250-3000 words forr review. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Technical Committee before their acceptance. Authors of the accepted paper will be requested to submit the full text of paper as per guidelines. Technical Exhibition: With a view to exhibit the advancemen nts made in the productss and solutions for Mining and Steel Industry, a Technical Exhibition has been planned during the Conclave. Technology Suppliers, Equipment Manufacturers, Automation Specialists, Laboratory Equipment Manufacturers, IT Service Providers, Technical Bookk Publishers etc. are invited to participate in the technical exhibition to highlight their products and services. Exhibition space of about 3 m x 2.5 m (minimum) with adequate furnishing and basic illumination facilities shalll be provided to each exhibitor.
