We will be following USASF rules and regulations for all-star divisions. To obtain an official copy of the rules, regulations and guidelines, please refer to www.aacca.org or www.usasf.net The Bulldog Cheer Classic officials reserve the right to combine/split divisions if necessary. Conduct and Sportsmanship All squads are responsible for the conduct of members of their program including, but not limited to staff, parents, fans and participants. Spectators are asked to conduct themselves in a respectful manner- any distasteful behavior will result in penalization of the squad and/or expulsion from the competition. Safety We will be following NFHS and AACCA rules- please obtain a copy of these rules BEFORE the competition. Safety/head judges will deduct 5 points for any legality. Please familiarize yourself with these rules. NO JEWELRY, GLITTER, OR GUM used by participants- this will result in a 5 point penalty per occurrence. Temporary spirit tattoos are allowed. Squads are encouraged to perform skills within their ability level. Time Limits and Routine Structure Timing will begin with the first official movement or voice, or the first note of music, whichever comes first. The music portion of your routine may not exceed 1 ½ minutes for school divisions. Total routine length is limited to 2 ½ minutes for school and all-star divisions and 3 minutes for youth/rec divisions ONLY. All performances must begin with each participant having at least one foot on the floor. Both feet leaving the floor constitute the beginning of the timed portion. If a routine is interrupted by equipment failure, the team will be permitted to perform their routine in its entirety, with scoring resuming from the point it was interrupted. In case of injury the team may continue with the routine or withdraw from the competition. Bulldog Cheer Classic officials reserve the right to stop a routine in the case of injury. Music Coaches will be expected to start and stop their own music. There will be a one point per second penalty for every second a routine exceeds the time limits established. This will be deducted off of the total score. For example: 3 seconds over time limit will result in a 3 point penalty. Awards and Judging A minimum of 3 trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in each division. Judges will be experienced, qualified, and impartial individuals with a Company affiliate (NCA, UCA, etc). Decisions made by the judging panel are final and may not be appealed.
