TOUCH OF GLASS CORVETTE CLUB NEWSLETTER Volume 14 - Issue 5 - May 2015 VETTE CHATTER Tiger Creek & Wildlife Refuge March 28, 2015 Well after waiting for what seemed like eternity for all the spring showers to leave, we finally were blessed with a beautiful sunny day! Fifteen of our Corvette friends headed out to the Tiger Creek Refuge in Tyler. This place is wonderful, they take in all types of large cats that have been abused, neglected or displaced and would have had to be put down without help. They are truly magnificent animals! Cost is minimal 10.00 for groups of ten or more, or family pass is only 65.00 year (includes children, grandparents). All the proceeds go to the care and up keep of the refuge, and I will go back! After this great experience we all drove over to Taste of Italy, located on the lovely lake Hawkins. What a treat the restaurant sits right on the lake with dining both inside and outside. Now if you haven t had the pleasure of eating there you are missing some of the best Italian food around. The food ranges from pizza, calzones to authentic Italian dishes. Prices are very good, and did I mention you can bring your own Beer or Wine! After having our fill of good food and great company we all headed our separate ways home. It was a great time, and an outing that gets an A plus rateing in my book. I will be back, in fact I can hardly wait! Herman Peters Chevrolet Is Proud To Sponsor Touch Of Glass Corvette Club
