North Bristol Sportsman s Club 7 CHUMS FIELD TRIP 2017 Friday October 6th, the Cardinal Heights Middle School from Sun Prairie returned for a Field Trip. The Class is Natural Resources and Wildlife Management and our Club is lucky enough to host the field trip. The students and Parents came to the club to learn about conservation, how hunting is important in wildlife management. They shoot archery, get a muzzle loader demonstration, participate in a pheasant hunt, trap shoot and shoot all models of.22 rimfire rifles. We also provide the final field test for many of them to complete the Hunters Education Program, and some get Trapper Ed and Boating Ed completed as part of this class. The Wisconsin Trappers Association, and the DNR come out to let the students skin wild game, learn about trap sets and fur bearers. The Glacial Drumlin Chapter of the Nation Wild Turkey Federation sent some volunteers and set up a Turkey Hunting display and demonstration. For Lunch Tommy and his helpers prepared a Wild Game Feed to serve almost 100 Students, parents, chaperones, educators, hunters ed instructors and club volunteers. The food included fish, from Catfish to Walleye, Mule Deer, White Tail, Wild Hog, Wild rice and other stuff, including an impressive table of desserts. Thanks to all who provided donations and the work to put on the big feed. The weather held out, and lots of fun was had by all. The students seemed to enjoy the day, and many comments about the event were overheard. Thanks to all that gave their valuable time to make this another successful event.

North Bristol Sportsman s Club 8 R3 R a n d o m R a n g e R a n t s Hunting Season is OPEN. Fall trap league is in full swing. Carl and the Retirees have changed the entire outside look of the place. There is most of a roof over the pistol shooting line, and all kinds of fun stuff. In their spare time, the worker bees pulled of the TEAM SHOOT, and the kickoff shoot for the Quad County Events. Five stand shooters are adding Lead to the Reclamation Pile, and the Skeet shooters are still hanging out on Thursday Nights. So, All is well. The club hosted another Field Trip for the Cardinal Heights Middle School Natural Resources and Conservation class. Certified 23 Hunter Ed students that day, and 30 more on Saturday after the field trip. Lots of new hunters and shooters coming up to fill our spots. Welcome them to the club, take someone hunting, and make them feel good about the Hunting, Fishing and Shooting Sports. More projects in the works. Watch for the Meat Raffle Tickets coming up. Wisconsin Wildlife Federation Calendars are for sale at the club with a prize given away for every day of the year. Bunch of Guns, Cash, big prizes and more. A big shout out to all the Volunteers that have been stepping up to get the work done. The Regulars during the week have been making great progress, and the Weekend Warriors are filling in the Gaps. Great to see the club come together to make improvement for all to enjoy. Pistol and Rifle have been BUSY. And the Hunter s site ins are coming up. Archery has made some improvements, got some more Targets, and have plans for the spring to kick things off for more action and activity. Thanks to Ryan and Shane for taking the reins. Do what you can to help them out, and participate when you can. Rimfire Challenge is about done for the season, so start collecting parts and bullets for restarting in the Spring. Need faster guns and more.22 rounds to really make it fun. Weekends have been busy, stop out and see what your missing. Bring your Happy Face and a couple of guns or a bow and have some Fun.
