CELEBRATING 23 YEARS OF SINGLES GOLF IN AMERICA Tampa Bay Chapter- American Singles Golf Association September 2015 President s Message I am over all the rain. What a wet summer it has been. Hopefully, September will bring us fewer storms so the courses can dry out and we can get back on schedule with our golf events. We have lots of things going on over the next few months including the league championship and club championship. Remember you need to have a current handicap to play in the club championship so be sure to post all your scores. Of course, the always popular holiday party comes up in December. This year s event will be held at East Lake Woodlands. Watch the newsletters and our website for details on all events. Our Tampa Bay ASGA chapter could not exist without the help of many fine volunteers. As we approach 2016, please consider volunteering for one of our Board positions or even assisting the Board with golf and social activities. Volunteering and getting involved with ASGA is a great way to meet our members and more fun than work. Now, let s play golf! ~Lynne Lupkes From The Golf Corner Hello everyone: August proved to be another month ruled by Mother Nature and the rain. Hunter's Green and Cheryl's party were cancelled and the Bayou got pushed out until August 30th. The Bayou was a good outing attended by 24 ASGA and Meetup golfers on their newly re-done greens. The day was hot and humid but with a cloud cover and occasional breeze, made it almost bearable. September has the rescheduled Bloomingdale from July. The date for this is September 12th, 1pm shotgun and $39. The only other outing for September is Club Renaissance in Sun City Center on Sunday September 27th, tee times start at 11.30 on hole 1. Cost is $40 plus tax.
