CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES 6 th MARCH 2016 TEAMS:CLASSES 2, 4 &5 - Teams from Pony Clubs and Riding Clubsto consist of three or four riders. The best three scores will count. All team entries to be made by Branch DC s or Team Managers. A Club can enter more than one team but each competitor can only be a member of one team. All team members must be entered as individuals and will be included within the overall individual s competition. Competitors jump only once for individual and team drawn order will be for teams with individuals to follow. AWARDS: An unmounted presentation will be held for each class as soon as the results are available. Please could prize winners present themselves in correct riding dress to receive their awards. Rules and Conditions of Entry 1. The competition will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2016 & Houghton Hall EC Rules. 2. The decision of the judges and stewards is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition, or to refuse any entry without stating a reason. 3. Objections must be made in writing and handed to the Secretary within 15 minutes of the incident, together with a fee of 10, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 4. No horse or pony under 5 years may compete. No stallions may compete. 5. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 6. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all the Officials and Stewards. 7. Non Pony Club competitors are not covered by the Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Oakley Hunt North Pony Club and the organisers are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover you. 8. All competitors must be suitably dressed in correct riding attire and hats approved under the New PC 2016 hat rules - PAS 015:1998 or 2011* with BSI Kitemark, Snell E2001 with official Snell label and number, AS/NZS 3838 1998, 2003 or 2006, VG1 with BSI Kitemark or ASTM-F1163 2004a with the SEI mark and shall be worn correctly fastened at all times when mounted. Hats should be tagged with the Pony Club new white hat tags or with BE new red hat tags. 9. It is strongly recommended that body protectors are worn when jumping. Recommended BETA Level 3 standard and these should have a purple BETA tag on them. 10. No Hackamores allowed. 11. Riding/Jodhpur boots must be worn for all classes 12. Pony Club members must have written permission from their DC to wear spurs. Only blunt spurs without rowels or sharp edges may be worn. If the spur is curved the curve must be downwards. 13. Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times & only allowed in the car park. 14. Riders are requested to ride sensibly at all times and to respect the land upon which they are riding. Anyone galloping a horse on the showground may be asked to leave. 15. Entry to this competition constitutes acceptance of the rules and conditions as set out in the schedule 16.
