Students should wear full school uniform including black shoes. If you are ordering online there is no need to return your envelope to school. Family photo envelopes are available from the front office. The cut off date to order FAMILY photographs online is 21 st March at midnight. If you are paying cash or credit card, family photo envelopes can be handed to the photographer directly on photo day. Sports for Schools Engadine PS is participating in Coles Sports for Schools which is now in full swing. Vouchers can be dropped into the school or into the box at Engadine Coles. Don t forget to tell your family and friends that they can also support our school by dropping vouchers into our in store box. ICAS ICAS is an independent, skills based assessment program which recognises and rewards student achievement. Information regarding ICAS has been sent home with students in Years 2 to 6. Any students who want to participate need to have the completed form and entry fee returned to the office by Monday. Harmony Day Wednesday 21 March is Harmony Day. It is an Australian Government program that centres on the message that Everyone belongs, reinforcing the importance of inclusiveness to all Australians. To celebrate Harmony Day, students are asked to wear their summer school uniform with an orange accessory, e.g. orange socks, orange wristband, orange ribbon or headband. Students in Kindergarten to year 2 are asked to wear their school sport uniform with an orange accessory. Environmental Club The Environmental Team are coordinating the collection of drink containers for recycling. Students can place used drink containers in the recycling basket outside the canteen. The containers must have their label and cannot be crushed. Please note that we cannot accept large amounts of household waste. This is only for drinks consumed at school or from the canteen.
Sydney East Zone AFL Congratulations to Jake R (Year 5) who represented Sutherland/Engadine Zones at the Sydney East Australian Rules Football Championship this week. The team won all their games but were defeated in the playoffs for 1st place going down 49 36. Highland s Haven The official opening of Highland s Haven has been scheduled for Tuesday 27th March at 2.30pm. Both, Michael Williams from Highland Property and Mrs Hendrika Green will be in attendance. Parents and community members are most welcome to attend. Below is a story written by Tessa K. Ahh! shouted Tori. She was falling down into a scary hallway! Ouch! said Tori. Where am I? Tori looked forward. She got up and walked forward. Then out of nowhere came a stinky, ugly witch! Hahaha! Welcome to my home cackled the witch. Tori followed the witch. Then the witch took Tori out of the lair to a swimming pool! Yay! said Tori, taking off her sweater. She put on her swimmers and jumped into the pool. The witch went inside. She took off her cloak.
