A new club letter will be sent out to parents/carers via Parentmail the first week back after the Easter Term. Assembly week commencing 19.02.18 Our assembly theme this week links with our school Christian value of: Faith Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5 Improving lateness/attendance: During assembly today I thanked our children for the improvement I have seen on lateness. I reminded them to help you out at home to ensure that they leave with enough time to get to school. Our school attendance target is 96.5% and last half term we were able to send out over 80 certificates for children that are currently on 100% attendance. I m sure we can add more children for 100% attendance this half term. For our topic of 'Food Glorious Food' we tasted a pizza made by a restaurant, evaluated it and then designed our very own pizza. This culminated with both classes making their very own pizzas! In science, we learnt about the journey our food takes and which organs play such vital roles in the digestion process. This week, we began to find out more about our teeth and what foods and products can do to them. We did this by leaving eggs in coke for an entire week (yuk!) and then we experimented with toothpastes to find which one was best for removing stains/bacteria. This term, we're looking forward to our science museum visit and a visit from the Warburtons Bakery Company! Parents Open Week: We still have a few spaces left for our parent open week, if you are interested in attending please email Miss Price (louise.price@stsaviours.waltham.sch.uk) with the date and time. Best wishes, Mrs Munden Headteacher
