Categories born in 1999 or before (24 teams per venue, 3 venues) Under 20s born in 2000 or after (24 teams, Preliminary Round will be scheduled in the Round 1) Under 18s born in 2002 or after (24 teams per venue, 2 venues) Under 16s born in 2004 or after (24 teams per venue, 2 venues) Under 14s born in 2006 or after (24 teams per venue, 2 venues) Under 12s born in 2008 or after (24 teams per venue, 2 venues) Under 10s born in 2010 or after (24 teams, Preliminary Round will be scheduled in the Round 1) Under 8s born in 2012 or after (24 teams, Preliminary Round will be scheduled in the Round 2) Under 16s born in 2004 or after (12 teams, Preliminary Round will be scheduled in the Round 3) born in 2003 or before (24 teams, Preliminary Round will be scheduled in the Round 3) Remarks: Age limit: and Categories Born in or before 2013 Category Born in or before 2006 Combination of the mix team, players can be all male, all female or mix. For NIKE Academy Invitational NIKE Hong Kong Limited will invite 12 designated school teams to participate in The Nike Cup Hong Kong Five 2019. Participating teams will be divided into 4 groups and the winner teams will enter final round in April directly. All Players who are invited to participate in NIKE Academy Invitational will not allowed to participate in The Nike Cup Hong Kong Five 2019. Number of participants per team: Each team needs to enrol a minimum of 5 players and maximum of 10 with 1 team manager who aged 18 or above. (Those who enrol as team manager cannot be player of the same category but they can be player of another one category.) If the team registration list is not full, teams are allowed to add eligible players on the team list after the submission of application form. Application for additional players must be submitted to online system on or before 19 th January 2019. It is not allowed to add any players after the preliminary round. Each team can only submit 1 application form. Each player can only enrol 1 team, while each team manager only can represent 1 team in each category. Players cannot be changed or cancelled after submission of the application form. Prizes and Souvenirs Team Awards for each category: Champion - Team trophy and NIKE coupon worth a combined total of $3,000 Runner-up - Team trophy and NIKE coupon worth a combined total of $2,000 3 rd place - Team trophy and NIKE coupon worth a combined total of $1,000 4 th place - Team trophy and NIKE coupon worth a combined total of $500 Individual Awards for each category: Top Scorer - A trophy and a pair of Nike Football Boot Most Valuable Player - A trophy and a pair of Nike Football Boot Top scorer will only be start calculation in the final round (MacPherson Playground). If the number of score is the same for 2 or more players, Top scorer calculation will be subject to the following criteria: a. Overall better team result b. If two or more players share the same score within a team, award will be given to the player who scores in the latest round. Deposit: HK$500 per team The deposit will be refunded upon completion of the tournament, provided the team and its players have abided by the rules of the tournament. Enrolment Deadline: 9 th January, 2019 (Only accept online enrolment http://nikecup.hkfa.com) Enrolment is on first come first served basis Enrolment flow : Teams can complete online application from 20 th December 2018 to 9 th January 2019 who interested in participating in this tournament. Please complete the application process according to the contents of the Application details' on the website. After the application process and relevant documents have been approved, the team will receive a payment notification email (only credit card online payment, VISA or MASTER card) issued by the online system. Upon payment is successful, the application process is deem to be completed and become a participating team. Application fee: please follow the guideline to complete the payment when receiving the payment notification email. Deposit: Please prepare a crossed cheque(made payable to The Hong Kong Football Association Limited ) and submit to HKFA on material collection day.(if no deposit submitted, team will not be able to collect the match material and participate in the tournament.) Note: Team players and managers must present their original or team manager certified true copy of HKID cards (same as the application form) for verification on the event day. Rules and Regulations of Tournament All rules and regulations of the Tournament will be executed according to the Futsal Laws of the Game set by FIFA and Hong Kong Football Association. PRELIMINARY ROUND - First Stage Participating teams will be divided into groups by draw. A round robin competition will be played with three points awarded for a win and one point for a tie. The team with the most points from each group will proceed to the second stage. In case of ties, position will be decided according to the following prioritized criteria: a. Greater number of points obtained in the group matches between the Teams concerned. b. Goal difference resulting from the group matches between the Teams concerned. c. Greater number of goals scored in the group matches between the Teams concerned. d. If, after having applied (a) to (c), playing teams still have an equal ranking, (a) to (c) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the playing teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, (e) to (h) apply. e. Goal difference resulting from all group matches. f. Greater number of goals scored in all group matches. g. Least number of yellow and red cards, the team receiving the least number of points will be ranked the highest. Each team will receive points for receiving red and yellow cards as indicated below:
i. Each yellow card (1 point) ii. Each red card as a consequence of two yellow cards (3 points) iii. Each direct red card (3 points) iv. Each yellow card followed by a direct red card (4 points) h. Draw PRELIMINARY ROUND - Second Stage, U18,, U14 and U12 Each match of the teams will be decided according to the game schedule. Teams will play in single elimination format, while winning teams will be qualified for the finals. In the event of a tie, penalty kick (sudden death) will be used to determine the winner. U20, U10, U8 and Winning team in First Stage of Preliminary Round will directly proceed to Final Round. The winner and 1 st runner-up from each group in First Stage of Preliminary Round will directly proceed to Final Round. FINAL ROUND A total of 12 teams from each category will proceed to the final round. 12 teams will be divided into 4 groups (3 teams in each group) and play a round robin competition. Each team will receive 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. The winner and 1 st runner-up from each group will proceed to the quarter final, and the position will be determined by draw immediately. A knockout competition will be operated to decide the Championship. In case of ties, criteria for the 1 st stage will be applicable in this stage. U20, U18,, U14, U12, U10, U8, and A knockout competition will be operated to decide the Championship. Rules of the Game a. Game pitch and goal post Game pitch: 38-42m long, 18-25m wide Goal post: 3m wide, 2 m high b. The Ball NIKE will provide soccer balls at Futsal Standard as the official ball. c. Official match duration All matches will be played under the following time frame with no intermission (no half time). U20 U18 U14 U12 U10 U8 25 minutes 20 minutes d. Substitution Substitutions can be made when the ball is in or out of play; The player entering the pitch must do so at his own substitution zone but not until the player leaving the pitch has passed completely over the touch line; The number of substitutions made during a match is unlimited. A player who has been replaced may return to the pitch as a substitute for another player.
e. Walkover of the match At the start of the game, each team must have a minimum of 3 players. If any team fails to have 3 players, the match must be abandoned. And, the failing team shall forfeit 0-3 loss. Should a team pull out of the game during a match or decide to leave the field of play, the organizing committee shall rule that : The failing team shall forfeit 0-3 loss or scoreline shall remain the same. f. Accumulated Fouls Futsal Law 14 (Accmulated Fouls) is not applicable in this competition, except the final match of, U20 and U18. g. Team manager is required to be present during the match. Should the team manager leave the field of play during the match, the game will be terminated. The result of the match will be set according to the regulations under walkover of the match. Player s Equipment 1. All players have to wear the assigned vests and uniforms. In the final round, players will be given a set of the following equipment: a. One piece of Game Jersey (An extra Jersey and socks will be given to the teams, who enter the second stage of the Final Round) b. One pair of socks c. One piece of Game Shorts 2. Players have to wear suitable footwear and shinguards. 3. A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery). 4. If it is necessary for a player to use other protection items such as a face mask or glasses, application must be made at the Registration counter on match day. (Details please refer to Rules and Regulations later on.) Disciplinary Matter All disciplinary matters will be dealt by Organizing Committee. For any serious misconduct or official / player misconduct, cases will be dealt by HKFA Disciplinary Committee. HKFA retains the right to suspend any team or player for participating in The Nike Cup - Hong Kong Five 2019, and any events organized or co-organized by HKFA. (Suspension may extend to all tournaments governed by HKFA) Important Notes 1. Late applications will not be accepted. 2. Incomplete applications will not be processed. 3. The organizer reserves the right to make necessary changes to any of the above information without prior notice. 4. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule the match at the designated date and venue. Participant teams shall attend the re-schedule match according to the details provided by the organiser. The team shall forfeit 0-3 loss if fail to do so. 5. Organizer reserves the right of making any final decisions. 6. The Chinese version of these terms and conditions shall prevail over the English version in case of any discrepancies.
