It will be conducted by the U.P. State Rifle Association under the patronage of NRAI, as per the program attached. Shooters from schools all over the country are invited to participate in this Championship. The terms and conditions are as under:- 1. The competition is open to school students all over the country in individual and team events subject to terms and conditions as laid down in NRAIs circular No. TRG/MATCH BOOK/232/98 dated 28th December 1998 and as amended on 24th May 2002 by Governing Body of NRAI and circulated as per our letter No. TRG/ MATCH BOOK/232/02 dated 7th June 2002. 2. Students will represent their Schools through respective State Rifle Associations. 3. All the affiliated units are advised to send copy of the result books for state level inter School Shooting Competitions conducted by them to verify the scores as stated in serial No. 12 of our circular dated 7th June 2002 as under :- ISSF Rule Matches 75% National Rule Matches 60% 4. The entries duly signed by the President/Secretary of affiliated units of NRAI only will be accepted. An entry form is attached herewith for your use. The entry forms duly completed stating Shooters ID number should be sent to this office along with entry fees so as to reach this office on or before 11-09-2017.
Late entry with triple entry fee will be accepted up to 18-09-2017. The entry fee should be remitted by cash/money order or by bank Draft in favor of THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA. Kindly note that cheques will not be accepted. The list of matches and entry fee is enclosed herewith for your necessary action. The State Rifle Associations/Units will be imposed a penalty of Rs. 3000/- per Shooter in case their shooters score below 15% of the Qualifying Score as per NRAI Match Book Rule 1.4 during XXI All India Kumar Surendra Singh Inter School Shooting Championship 2016. The State/Unit must deposit the penalty amount with NRAI immediately otherwise shooters from the Unit/State will not be allowed to participate in any competition conducted by NRAI. The Secretary General, NRAI may also call for explanation of the Unit/State for sending such shooters. Shooters participating in XXI All India Kumar Surendra Singh Inter School Shooting Championship 2016 on the basis of their performance during any competition conducted by NRAI shall be exempted. A penalty of Rs. 200/- will be charged if a shooter looses his/her competitor card/equipment control sheet during the competition. Fresh Card / Equipment Control Sheet will only be issued on the payment of penalty. IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SHOOTERS TO GET THEMSELVES REGISTERED WITH NRAI AND OBTAIN SHOOTER ID CARD (IF NOT ALREADY DONE). THE REGISTRATION FORM IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE www.thenrai.in THE REGISTRATION FEE IS RS. 150/- AND REGISTRATION FORM SHOULD BE SENT THROUGH RESPECTIVE STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION/UNIT. 5. Team events will be conducted in National Rule (NR) Matches only. Teams can be formed by the shooters of same school and only one team consisting of three shooters per school will be allowed in each event. Final entry of three members of the team must be submitted latest by 17.00 hrs. on 02-10-2017. 6. Students below the age of 19 and 15 years of age as on 31.12.2017 will be treated as Junior and sub junior shooters respectively. Attested copy of date of birth certificate should be attached with the entry form. 7. Those shooters who are taking part in ISSF matches and are members of the Core Group are not allowed to take part in National Rule Matches. 8. Shooters who have taken part in International competitions are not allowed to take part in this Competition. 9. Shooters can take part in one category i.e. junior or sub junior. Individual and team medals will be awarded as under:- 1. 3 medals where there are a minimum of 4 entries 2. 2 medals where there are a minimum of 3 entries 3. 1 medal where there are a minimum of 2 entries 4. No medal in case there is a single entry
10. The competition will be conducted according to ISSF Rules and NRAI Match Book. 11. No arms will be provided to the competitors by NRAI. Air pellets will be made available against cash payment at the range. 12. All the students must be in their School uniform at the time of March Past in Opening/Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony. Schools are requested to send their school Flags for March Past during Opening/Closing Ceremony. 13. The details/lanes would be allotted in the name of State Rifle Associations and not to individual shooters. All the participating States/Unit should officially nominate a Team Manager for the championship and he should ensure that details/lanes allotted to state/unit are allocated to the shooters without any inconvenience. The Team Manager or his/her authorized representative only will attend the Managers meetings, submit protests, if any, and be sole in-charge of day-today affairs of the team concerned. Scoring protest can be lodged by the concerned shooters also. 14. Matches in Open Sight Air Rifle have been deleted from the program of this Championship. 15.
