Congratulations Kaleidoscope Connection - Page 2 Congratulations to our second graders who received The Sacrament of First Eucharist! Counseling Corner This past week in guidance lessons, first and fifth grade learned about dealing with anger. In fifth grade, the class discussed what anger physically feels like and what happens to their bodies. They then put together a puzzle of coping skills that they can use when they feel anger coming on. Some of these include: playing with a pet, talk to an adult, read the Bible, and punch a pillow, among others. In first grade, the students worked in pairs and used marshmallows and toothpicks to create a marshmallow family. They then described what anger looks like in their own family. We then discussed appropriate ways to show anger. Cheer Clinic The middle school cheerleaders are hosting a cheer clinic on May 13th for students in Pk4-1st grade.
