Newsletter Volume 40 - Issue 4 April, 2007 Officers: President............ Monte Rans 620-327-2711 Vice President........ Greg Esping 620-896-2810 Secretary....... Marsha Battaglear 316-721-1166 Treasurer.......... Jack Crossman 316-542-9937 Message from the Prez... Spring has arrived with us saying goodbye to the cold weather while looking forward to the driving season upon us. It was evident at our last drive and eat that featured a total of 29 corvettes and one other plastic car (Saturn). Our drive took us down many roads and one in particular called Thunder Road that I personally had not been down previously, and ended up at Beitermans in Winfield. It was an impressive sight to see corvettes lined up for better then 2 blocks in the middle of town. The food was excellent and birthday cake was provided by the Hoofers to celebrate Barry and Helen s birthdays. Thanks to Officer at Large.........Linn Smith 316-806-8004 N.C.C.C. Governor...... Gary Jones 316-946-9320 Newsletter Editor...... Kent Michael 316-682-4403 ACCC s Web Page..... http://members.cox.net/accc Barry and Helen for hosting a fun and exciting drive and eat. Remember, April starts the corvette travel season so get those cars out, blow the dust off, and join the club excursions. It is now time for the road trips to begin and your e-board has been working diligently to set up a variety of fun days and weekends. If you missed the March 31st trip to Enid, don t forget April 14th is the Mid Missouri Corvette Club Car show in Columbia, Missouri. See you at the meeting. Monte Page 1

Secretary Marsha Battaglear had nothing to report. Officer-at-Large Lin Smith reported that the Petroleum Club is under new management and that they have increased the price from $100.00 to $900.00 for a Saturday night. Her suggestion was that we move the banquet from Saturday to Friday night. The motion was made and passed to do so. The new points leaders are Battaglears 1st, Smiths 2nd, Mehls and Michaels 3rd, and Fitzgibbons and Crossmans 5th. Governor Gary Jones reported that he is still working with a representative of Strother Field as a possible venue for the Auto-Cross. The proposal must be considered by a commission on March 21st. E-Board will also address this and place it on the calendar. A caravan was set up for spectators to the Enid show. We will leave from McDonalds at 47th & Broadway at 9:00 am on March 31st. Everyone is welcome to join in. Kent mentioned that Deb Collier has once again requested Corvette limos for the Newton Prom like we did last year. The date is April 21st, so mark your calendar. More information will be given at the April meeting. A Thank-you letter was read from the Lord s Diner for the donation from the banquet. Volume 40 - Issue 4 April, 2007 Taking a Seat Supports the Museum We are thrilled over the support of our new Bench Sponsorship Program! We have six supporting clubs and individuals who have sponsored a monumental granite bench in the front entrance of the Museum along our brick Walk of Fame. This is not only a great way to support the Museum, but enables thousands of guests and visitors who come to the Museum each year to see your club logo or customized artwork created in granite. Each granite bench features customized artwork of the club or supporter and can be reserved either solely or with up to two partners per bench. A limited number of granite benches are available. Club logos, car designs - your choice, so pick the artwork that best represents you and/or your club! Find out more about reserving your spot as part of this fundraising opportunity by going to: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/donations/bench.shtml Page 7
