COSC BOARD MEETING MINUTES March 20, 2011 Present: Randall Smith, Dan Mele, Jeremy Schultz, Lupe Jaime-Ramirez, Scott Alcorn, Leisa Dishno, Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Randal Smith at 4:00pm at the Odyssey Office in Clovis. Minutes: Minutes were approved Treasurer Report: Treasurer Report (PNL) was distributive and approved Reports: Club Restructured was reviewed and commented. An Organizational Chart was also reviewed COSC Mission stated was reviewed and tabled for further comments Registrations currently on target. Once older tryout are completed, numbers will be reviewed Uniforms have been selected and dates will be distribute to teams Battle of HWY 99 was very successful and raise a profit for COSC Univision Cup is coming up, It may be possibility held at fairgrounds, more information still to come New Business: DOC approved to close Odyssey s office on Monday April 10, 4X4, registration coming in and need DOC to volunteer Girls college ID camps are coming up, date will be listed on website Approve Siblings Discount Tryouts Set on Website for olders Meeting Adjourned: @ 6:40 PM next meeting @ Odyssey Office May 22, 2011. New Director: Nadar Boys Director Josh: Girls Director, He secure personal sponsorship about $7,000 Girls Elite tryouts completed, he starting mentorship Big Sister s Program C. Registration: 327 total players registered currently Numbers: Teams Boys: 16 Club, 2 Academy (up 2 boys teams) Teams Girls: 12 Club, 2 Elite Odyssey Registration continues open D. Tournament; New Tournament Plan 4X4 events was more successful and have scheduled future tournament Academy Cup- September 24-25, 2011 Challenge Cup- October 29-30, 2011 Univision Cup_ June 18 th E Equipment Replace equipment and purchase for CODL F. Club Administrator Golf Tournament Director- Dan The flyer is out, motivate each team, promote ticket sale, raffle with most tickets sold, Information disseminated on Monday, each team needs to have baskets, Coaches invited to casino night (both Odyssey south and Odyssey). June 12 & 13. Information on the website will be available. Boys Academy and Girls Elite each player must sell at least 2 tickets, Dan has posters to be placed Fields- Buchanan 5/30-6/10 fields close for graduations and re-field Clovis North 2 fields & Clovis East 2 fields-

Fairgrounds signed contract with us (Argentina, Fuego and Odyssey to use fields), League games will be held there, no concession stand available Clovis Christian is being pursued Randall will be making a donation on the fields COED is being paid for fields Odyssey used only Bronze League- Fairgrounds will be used there G. Academy Jeremy will issue statement on Academy and the opportunities for players. David Chesler will be here in July to meet to also answer questions H. Team Manager Leisa is team manager consultant I. Odyssey South D3 program also growing V. Old Business Investment: Banners for CODL- will purchase and place at Schools to promote Odyssey Free Camp and promote at schools VI. New Business A. California Odyssey BOD Minutes 7/20/11 Call to Order Randall called the meeting to order at 12:10pm Attendance/Roll Call Randall, Leisa, Lupe, Dan, Bob, Jeremy, Minutes Approved with correction: Change Gold to golf and Replace Dan name where it states Bob Reports: A. Financial Report Suggestion for future, produce a report that is a year over year comparison Note: No division 3 reflected to a lower enrollment this year in comparison to last year. Collection Report- 3 teams that cards will not be made until they are caught up. Kids that are behind financially will not receive the card until they pay the balance. Cards are kept at the Odyssey office B. Trading Post/Office Update They are looking at a new location C. Events Coming Up Juventus Tournaments of Champions (club tournaments)- 20 teams going COSC Camps- listed in websites Univision Cup- Proceeds to COSC Hedrick s Chevrolet Car Show- wrap for Odyssey Tournaments: o Academy Cup/Challenge Cup- drop in tournament status, pull directors and have them call clubs to get them here, target local clubs to build bracket and then reach out to other clubs o Future: Look at different locations for tournaments such as Morgan Hill o Make one tournament and blow it out Sept/Oct o 4X4 tournament- keep in spring possible March D. Academy Cycle Tryouts start this weekend Staff meeting tomorrow
