1 Dear Vail Mountain Club Members, Summer in the Vail Valley was beautiful; July and August showers made for a great summer and a wonderful fall. As our season turns to winter and the snow once again returns to Vail, we look forward to the many fun and exciting activities scheduled for this season. Please look inside at our calendar for the upcoming months, we are sure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Winter Activities Events FASC (Friday Afternoon Ski Club) Select Fridays No lines. No crowds. No problem. Join one of the Vail Mountain instructors as we explore the mountain one Friday a month. All abilities welcome. Holiday Après Dec. 24th 31st (Complimentary) 3:00pm 5:00pm, Vail Mountain Club Enjoy holiday festivities and appetizers during the holiday season. News Years Undercover January 1st ($) 11:00am 2:00pm, Vail Mountain Club Join us as we create the ultimate Bloody Mary Bar. Untouched First Tracks Select Dates ($) 7:30am 10:00am, Vail Mountain Grab the first chair and be the first on Vail s untouched terrain on chairs 4, 5, & ll. After working up an appetite, join us at Two Elk for breakfast. Ski Workshop Tuesdays in January ($) 9:00am 12:00pm, Vail Mountain Workshops will be men s specific and women s specific. Take your skiing to the next level with the instructors at Vail Mountain Snowsports School. All levels welcome. Sunset/Moonlight Snowshoe Hike & Dinner January 16th, February 19th, March 18, March 31st ($) 5:00pm 8:30pm Enjoy breathtaking mountaintop views at dusk. Dinner will follow immediately after. Green Eggs and Ham March 17th (Complimentary) 7:30am 3:00pm, Vail Mountain Club Kick off your St. Patty s day celebrations with green eggs and ham and live music. Inter-Club Race Day February 11th (Beaver Creek), March 12th (Vail)($) Join the VMC team for Inter-Club Race Day. We will compete against teams from other Clubs to determine the King of the Mountain. Ladies Night February 25th ($) 7:00pm 9:00pm, Vail Mountain Club It s ladies night! Ladies, join us for pampering and drinks. Includes: Mani/Pedi, Massage & Facial. Last Tracks March 19th 4:00pm 5:00pm, Game Creek Bowl Join us for our annual Vail Mountain Club tradition where members can ski after hours. The fun begins after 4:00pm at Wildwood. Vilar Center Switzerland Ski Trip $ February 3-10 Snowcat Skiing March 2nd (Vail Pass) ($) 8:00am 4:00pm, Why wait with the crowds for a powder day when you can go catskiing and enjoy fresh powder run after run. Participants should be advanced powder skiers/snowboarders. Please note there is a 15 day cancellation policy. Heavenly Ski Trip March 4th-8th ($) Join us in Tahoe, CA while we explore Heavenly Ski Mountain. Luau March 19th (Complimentary) 5:30pm 7:00pm, Vail Mountain Club Aloha, join us for some fun in the sun after the Vail Mountain Club s annual Last Tracks. Enjoy complimentary wine and food. MID-VAIL RESTAURANT UPDATE The Vilar Performing Arts Center will be hosting Club Nights during the 2010-2011 Winter Concert Series. On select nights, the Vilar Center will open its exclusive May Gallery Patrons Lounge to our Club members for a wine and hors d oeuvre reception one hour prior to the concert performance. Club Night ticket prices include the May Gallery reception and tickets to the performance. Construction on the new mid-vail restaurant began this summer with the installation of the foundation work. Construction is complete for the year and will resume next spring for a targeted opening of 2011/2012 winter. 3

BUCKAROOS KID S CORNER Weekly Activities Kid s Bowling Night Select Wednesdays ($) 4:00pm 6:00pm, Vail Village Test your bowling skills at Bol, the new bowling alley in Vail. Kid s Ice Skating Select Wednesdays ($) 4:00pm 6:00pm, Solaris Ice Skating Rink Enjoy an afternoon of skating with your friends and warm up with hot cocoa afterwards. Participants should be comfortable skating on ice skates by themselves. Kid s Adventure Ridge Day Fridays ($) 3:00pm 6:00pm, Eagle s Nest Have fun on top of Vail Mountain as we enjoy a slippery slope of rip-roaring tubing lanes. Grab a cookie and hot chocolate to warm up on the gondola ride down. Kid s Ski Day Select Sundays (Complimentary) 9:00am 12:00pm, Vail Mountain Join other kids in town for Kids Ski and Snowboard Day. Intermediate skiers/snowboarders ages 10+. No instruction will be provided. Teen Ski Day Select Sundays (Complimentary) 9:00am 12:00pm, Vail Mountain Join other teens from the Vail Mountain Club for Teen Ski and Snowboard Day. Geared towards intermediate skiers/ snowboarders. No instruction will be provided Kid s Games Saturdays (Complimentary) 3:00pm 5:00pm, Vail Mountain Club Take a break from the hill as we play games and get to know other kids in the Club. Save the Date Kid s Holiday Party, December 28th (Complimentary) 4:00pm 7:00pm Enjoy holiday treats, hot cocoa bar, pizza, and movies. Kids must be 5 or older; kids under 4 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Policies & Procedures Dues We are pleased to announce that there will be no increase to annual dues for the second consecutive year. Club Access Each member will have an access code for entry into the Club. This code will only work during operating hours. This code is for member use only and non-transferable. Failure to comply with this rule may result in suspension of membership privileges. Cell Phones Cell phone usage is not permitted in any public area of the Club. Cell phones should be switched to a silent mode upon entering the Club. Smoking Smoking is not allowed anywhere on Club property including front and back deck areas. Swimming Pool Pool and Hot Tub Hours: 10:00am 8:00pm daily. The hot tub nearest to the Club s north deck is for adults only. There is no lifeguard on duty. Members and guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Slippers & Robes Slippers and robes are provided for your comfort and enjoyment while using Club facilities. Vail Mountain Club Retail Purchase your Vail Mountain Club logo items. We carry water bottles, travel mugs and other logo d items for summer and winter. Stop in and see what is new, located in the Member s Lounge. Special Events Guest Policy Members may place guests on a waitlist if they would like to bring a guest to a special event. Extended family members will be given priority for the waitlist. Members will be notified 48 hours prior to the event as to whether or not guests can be accommodated for the Special Event. Guests may be accommodated for events on a first come, first served basis depending on the popularity of an event. A maximum of 8 guests will be allowed per special event; however, this amount may vary depending on the event. Guest fees may apply. Winter Guest Policy Accompanied Guest Policy No unaccompanied guests are allowed in the Club at any time. Members must sign in all guests daily with the Front Desk. Members will be allowed 25 complimentary accompanied guests per winter season with a maximum of four (4) accompanied guests per day. Accompanied guests may be invited to join a member in the Club after 3 p.m. and will not count towards the accompanied guest total. Guests must check in at the Front Desk. A maximum of four (4) accompanied guests per member during this time. An individual guest is allowed a maximum of four (4) visits annually to the Club, regardless of which Member(s) they accompany. Exceptions include extended family and current houseguests of the Member. If a Member exceeds the maximum guests permitted, either on a daily or seasonal basis, a $15 per person fee will be charged to the Member account. Guests may store their skis with the Ski Valet for a daily fee of $10/guest/day (blackout periods may apply). Ski Instructor Policy Instructors will not be permitted inside the Club without a lesson scheduled with a Member. Instructors will enter and wait for the Member(s) at the Ski Valet entrance. Instructors should arrive 5 10 minutes before scheduled lesson. Instructors are not permitted to have breakfast or beverages while waiting. Instructors are not permitted in the ski locker room or garage area unless authorized by the Director of the Club to assist with a special needs Member or child. Instructors may be invited to join a Member in the Club anytime after 11:00 a.m. They must, however, remove their jacket whenever inside the Club. If invited to the Club for lunch, the instructor will not count towards the accompanied guest total.
