Committee Reports Bud Mangels gave us his report on The Foundation Giving see part of his report on page 7, he told us we are back down to only 2 countries Afghanistan and Pakistan that still have any outbreaks of POLIO. It is not over yet but we are darn close, he also reminded us that we are not only doing Polio but also the five major childhood viruses. Folks we are so close to obtaining our goals for the foundation, do you want to be the one that made us miss our goal? 1
Bill Tanner asked do we want a pancake breakfast or do we want a dinner dance night? Dick Kanyan reminded us that the rack card given out at the Pancake breakfast raises a significant of money for the club and we must consider that as well. Get your calendars out to mark some important dates. Bob Gersh announced The Contractors Showcase will be held on Saturday February 23 2019. He also reminded us he needs help so talk to him about what you can do. Alex Santoriello also let us know that Carols by Candle light will be that night rather held on December 15th, this is a Saturday this year in hopes that it will be easier for people to go out on the weekend.you all may remember that because of this program we were able to send over $6,000.00 to Camp Boggie Creek. Past President Tracy talks about the distribution of our district designated funds for next year, we are going to use some of the funds to send 2 students to RYLA, the remaining funds will be going to the ongoing water projects, $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity and The Cleft Palete program for Mexico put on by the Florida Hospital. She also announced that the RLI will be taught on a 4 day cruse, what a chance to get all of the programs in one trip, as well as enjoying the cruise, the best of both worlds in October 18-21 st this year.
