STARTING TIMES Members have the privilege of reserving starting times as far in advance as desired. We strongly suggest making starting times when you know when you will want to play. Eight starting times will be held for members each weekend day. If these times are not reserved 24 hours in advance they will be released to the public. No seasonal times will be allowed to be reserved (ex: 8:00 am every Sat. through the season). For your information public tee times can be made 30 days in advance if booked on-line. Golf and Dinner Packages and groups involving banquets can be booked as far in advance as desired. While we will make every effort to accommodate our members there will, on occasion, be days when all starting times are reserved. By planning your golf schedules in advance, you will generally have no problems. Even on days of outside group shotguns, there are usually early or late starting times available. A member may introduce a guest to play as many times as desired. However, a guest must be accompanied by the member who introduces them in order to make an advanced starting time and receive the reduced guest fee. A Guest of Member 6-pack of Greens Fees may be purchased by Members in the Golf Shop. If you are without a game, feel free to contact the golf shop, more than likely they will be able to arrange an enjoyable match for you.

CRUMPIN-FOX CLUB RULES & REGULATIONS All members and guests must adhere to the following rules and regulations: The U GA Rules of Golf and Etiquette Recommendations will govern all play. CFC local rules (listed on our information board) apply when applicable. All players must first register in the golf Shop. All play begins on the first tee unless authorized by the golf Shop. No private coolers or alcohol may be brought onto the golf course. Dress code must be adhered to on the golf course, practice facilities, and in the clubhouse. The following will be considered violations of the dress code: Silk screen T-Shirts, shirts w/out sleeves, torn or tattered jeans, cut offs, gym shorts, swim wear, absence of shirts, and inappropriate footwear. All golfers are expected to maintain a reasonable rate of play (four and one half hours per 18). When unable to do so for any reason, they must give way to faster players. Groups of three or four have priority on the golf course. Golf carts must stay on paths when possible. Carts are at all times to be kept out of the treeline. Carts must be kept off tees, bunkers, and greens slopes and are not permitted within 30 feet of a green. people are permitted in a cart. All players must follow the direction of the rangers. No play from the black tees without permission of the golf shop. Players under the age of 14 may play only in the company of an adult unless special permission is granted from the golf shop. Five-somes are prohibited unless permission is granted from the golf shop. Players stopping for lunch at the turn will lose their spot on the golf course. Rake bunkers, replace divots, and fix ball marks. Enter bunkers from lowest point in bunker, leave all rakes down and out of bunkers. Please put all trash in containers found at each tee. Head Golf Professional, Superintendent and Director of Operations will interpret all rules and regulations and have full authority to enforce them.

PACE OF PLAY This is a top priority at Crumpin-Fox. Because of the nature of our golf course, four hour rounds as the norm will be difficult. However, at 15 minutes per hole you can play in 4½ hours. Our goal is to have no rounds over four hours and forty minutes and that should be attainable. We will be continuing our RANGERING efforts, and we ask that all players heed their advice. The ranger is not there to hound you, but to ensure an overall steady pace of play. A few tips to help speed up play: Arrive at the course (and first tee) well ahead of your starting time. Watch your wayward shots and pick out a landmark where you think your ball came to a rest (proceed directly to your ball). Make your club selection and plan your strategy before it is your turn. Be prepared to play when it is your turn. regardless of if you are away. The golf course is for playing the game, the driving range is for practicing. Please be courteous to others while on the course. Continuous putting is encouraged to save time. Go directly to your ball rather than standing over other players shots. If you are playing out of a cart and are uncertain which club you will need, take several with you. Play your shots with undue delay. Plum bobbing and lining putts up from all angles are generally nervous habits reserved for tour players. When on the green leave your clubs (and cart) towards the next tee. Write down the scores on the next tee. These are just a few tips -

HANDICAPS The essence of the game of golf lies in the honesty of the player. This means that every time you play 18 holes, you must record a score. Consecutive nine hole rounds must be combined to form an 18 hole score. Scores from other courses also should be recorded along with the course rating and slope. All scores will be entered in the handicap computer located in the Golf Shop. Each member will be assigned a three digit access code to get into their file. The system is very easy to understand and the golf staff will be happy to help you learn it. With the new system you have the opportunity to record scores at other courses with the electronic option, see what you after each round, or view any handicap on the GHIN system (1.5 million in system). Scores will be transmitted to Far Hills, New Jersey every Tuesday. Handicap changes will be effective every two weeks. Last year the Massachusetts Golf Association returned to its original method of adjusting scores for handicap purposes. The 2012 standard procedure for Equitable Stroke Control is as follows: Course Handicap Maximum Number That Can Be Posted 9 or less Double bogey 10-19 7 20-29 8 30-39 9 40 and up 10 *All handicap matters will be settled by the professional golf shop staff.*

LOST AND FOUND All lost and found items - clothes, clubs, head covers, umbrellas, keys, jewelry... will be kept securely in the golf Shop for the season. If you find a club (or whatever) on the golf course, please make every effort to turn it in as soon as possible. Shaft labels are available at a nominal cost, and we recommend that all members use them. CLUB REPAIR Nearly all of your club repair needs can be performed in-house. What we can do in-house includes - re-gripping, lengthening and shortening. Some steel shafts will be stocked and any type of graphite, boron, or titanium can be special ordered and installed. Re-finishing and re-chrome work will be sent out.
