A change in the wind says I. Hopefully, some southern breezes to warm us up soon. Well wishful thinking anyways. March is almost here which means Commodore s Ball, Hospitality Night (which will be at the Club this year), door locks should be changed on March 16, a St. Patrick s Day Party on March 20 and an Open House on March 22. Please bring a friend or fellow boater down and show them what our Club is all about. I m going to push membership hard this year. New membership means everything! Also a Lenten Dinner on March 27. So bring a friend or two and come down and enjoy our Club. As always, feel free to contact me anytime. Vice Commodore s Comments Hi All ~ thanks to everyone who has been helping out at the bar. It won't be much longer, as Margo and I will be returning from Florida on March 1. Hope to see you all at the March meeting, the Hospitality Night at the Clubhouse and the 50th Anniversary Commodore s Ball. Rear Commodore s Comments Bernie Keary Larry Schwenk Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Hi All ~ I know with the weather being so cold no one is thinking about spring, but I will be putting an Adopt-a-Garden sign-up sheet on the board so we can all get started as soon as the weather breaks. Think spring! Be sure to stop down to the Cub for some of the fun upcoming events. Fleet Captain s Comments Gayle Feldman Dale Cover Winter just seems to drag on doesn t it? Right about now I hate that rodent. With this prolonged cold weather comes even thicker ice and more potential for severe flooding. Given my view, I should be in a good position to sound the alarm if the situation becomes dicey down here. Let s all hope for a gentle thaw. In the meantime, I hope to see you down at the Club.

Treasurer s Comments Your new (2015) key cards are normally available at the March general meeting, however due to a 'glitch' with the cards; they may not be available until the April meeting. If that is the case, the locks will not be changed until the new cards are distributed. is working on the problem. Please remember to keep your payment schedule in line with your contracts. Our cash flow is dependent on that as the vast majority of our expenses occur during the first half of the year. Thanks again for your cooperation. Entertainment Committee March is finally arriving, spring is not far behind. We have two events planned this month. The first one is the St. Patrick Party on Friday, March 20. Tony will be preparing the corn beef for the dinners and sandwiches. The second event is the Lenten Dinner on March 27. Both of these events should be fun. We hope to see all of you there. Please see the attached flyers for all of the details. FYI - almost 40 people braved the elements and made it to the Super Bowl party. Thank you for your support. Sunshine Report Marilyn Schaffer In early February, Tony Marino had surgery at Hillcrest Hospital for an aneurysm. He is now doing well. A card and care-package was sent from the Club. I trust everyone else is happy and healthy!
