Youth Livestock Shows SD Junior Point Show Association All Youth Livestock Shows are sanctioned with the South Dakota Junior Point Show Association. Youth ages 8 to 21 can accumulate points at different sanctioned shows across South Dakota. For more information regarding SDJPSA please go to www.sdjps.com Livestock Requirements South Dakota State Law does require all animals to have a current health certificate when being exhibited at a fair or livestock exposition. Black Hills Gold Futurity Show Any female purchased at the 2017 Black Hills Stock Show is eligible to be shown in the Black Hills Gold Futurity. Also, participants have the chance to win an additional $250- $500 in feed certificates. A purchase of over $200 Hubbard Feeds receipt must be presented. Bring your receipts with you to the show! Black Hills Angus Futurity Show Any female purchased from a Black Hills Angus Association member last year is eligible to be shown at the Black Hills Angus Futurity Show. Participants have the chance to win $2,500. A youth ages 8-21 years of age must show the animal at the and heifer needs to be purchase prior to May 1, 2017. All heifers must be registered with the American Angus Association. Futurity will show under same classes registered under the American Angus Association. Tips & Tricks Livestock Entrance Directions: All livestock show animals must enter the Central States Fairgrounds through the LaCrosse St. gate. Stalling From I-90: Take Exit 59 and travel South on LaCrosse St. approx. 2.5 miles From Hwy 79: Travel North to Centre St. and take a left Stalling: Two barns are reserved for the Livestock shows; The Orange & Beef Barns. When you arrive, you will notice we do not have set stalling. We encourage you to pick a stall(s) and unload your animals. All stalls will be bedded, unlocked and ready for your arrival. We ask that you just be courteous and pick up after yourself. We will have a paneled area to wash pigs located on the wash rack. You will also notice that we don t have lengthy barn arrival and release times. We know that many families are coming or going from their state and country fairs in addition to school and other athletics starting soon. All we ask is that you check-in on time and you can be released from the barns at the conclusion of your show. Coffee, Juice & Donuts: Our friends at Hubbard Feeds and Tri-State Livestock News will be sponsoring coffee, juice and donuts on the morning of Saturday, August 26 th near the livestock office.
