Mia Bevilacqua College Signing: Virginia Wesleyan Sport: Soccer College Coach: Jeff Bowers Mia came to Dock to play soccer in her junior year. She has been an outstanding Defender the last two years. Her ability to anticipate balls an intercept them has been one of her strong attributes. By anchoring the defense, she was a big reason why we were so successful. Mia was one of our captains, and was named to the All-League first team. She is very competitive and disciplined on game day, which will go far on the collegiate scene. Jill Bolton College Signing: Liberty University Sport: Field Hockey College Coach: Nikki Parsley Jill Bolton has been a four-year Varsity starter at Dock Mennonite Academy - she helped contribute to four BAL championships, qualifying for districts each of those years and a year to state playoffs. Her career Varsity stats are 111 goals, 39 assists, and 37 defensive saves. Jill is very athletic, competitive, and gifted athlete - she has been the heart and soul of our team the last four years. Sabrina Demetrius College Signing: Chestnut Hill College Sport: Track and Field College Coach: Phil Reilly As a four-year varsity athlete and team captain, Sabrina Demetrius has been a leader and a standout for the Dock Mennonite Academy Track & Field program. Although Sabrina was unable to compete for much of her senior season due to an appendectomy, her efforts in the field during her freshman, sophomore, and junior year left an indelible mark on our program. Sabrina is leaving as the school record holder in both the Shot Put and Discus. During her career, she set and reset school records in both of those events, was a multiple District medalist, District Champion and represented Dock at the State level. Sabrina has committed to competing at Chestnut Hill College and will be an excellent fit with their track and field program. Daphne Hunsinger College Signing: Geneva College Sport: Volleyball College Coach: Wendy Smith Daphne Hunsinger was a 3-year starting Varsity player but also saw playing time as a Freshman on the Varsity squad. Daphne contributed to 4 League titles, 2 District Titles and 2 State runs in her Volleyball career at Dock. She registered 574 kills and a school record 180 aces. Daphne was a force in set 5 of the 2017 League Championship match against New Hope by registering 7 kills on 7 attempts to seal the win. Daphne is a court smart, defensively solid and offensively deadly lefty who will surely make an impact at Geneva College in the fall. Camryn McCloskey College Signing: York College of PA Sport: Cross Country & Track and Field College Coach: Stephen LoBianco Camryn has been a three-year Varsity member of the Dock Mennonite Academy cross country team and a four-year member of the girls track and field program. She helped contribute to two BAL cross country championships and two District 1 Cross Country Championships as well as three District 1 outdoor Track and Field Championships. Camryn medaled twice individually in the BAL and District Cross Country Championships and has been a top-three finisher in the 3,200 meters in each of the last two years in District Track. She has consistently been a strong finisher and willingly runs the longest race on the track. Camryn s love of running and attention to the sport transcends beyond just times on the track. Camryn possesses the drive and determination needed to be successful at the college level and her choice to attend York College will be an excellent fit. We are looking forward to watching her develop over the longer college distances next year at York College, which is thrilled to add her to their core of distance runners. Connor Schnable College Signing: McDaniel College Sport: Baseball College Coach: Dave Seibert Connor played baseball for Dock Mennonite Academy for the past 3 years. 2 at the Junior varsity level, and 1 at Varsity level. His arm allowed him to be an important part to our pitching staff. With a record of 2 wins and 0 loss and E.R.A 0.00, and batting AVG.415 Connor has been impressive on the field. His maturity and passion for the game make him able to move up to the next level. We are going to miss Connor, but we are looking forward to see him play at McDaniel College. -Coach Ed Melendez 1. Nick Schnable College Signing: Penn State Mont Alto Sport: Basketball College Coach: Jack Schenzel Nick played a key role in our team s success this year. Rebounding, setting screens, timely scoring, and playing unselfish basketball, he was a strong presence in the middle for us. Andrew Walters College Signing: Eastern University Sport: Baseball College Coach: Jed Morris "Andrew has been playing baseball for Dock Mennonite Academy for the past 4 years at the varsity level. His versatility allowed him to play as freshman and sophomore at first base and as junior and senior as short stop. Achieving good results in both positions. As first baseman was named in the second team of the Bicentennial League, as short stop second team of the Bicentennial League. This year Andrew looks with a lot of potential to receive another achievement as the first team in the Bicentennial League as a short stop. Andrew is part of the new generation of student athletes who develop Dock Mennonite Academy as baseball players. In his four years as a ball player Andrew helped the team to win 4 Bicentennial League Championships, 2 District Championships, and 2 trips to the state tournament. Andrew always was impeccable in the field. His consistency with the bat and glove has given him the opportunity to continue his career as a student athlete at the college level. We are going to miss his lead in and out of the field. Elizabeth Wanamaker College Signing: Elizabethtown University Sport: Field Hockey College Coach: Brandy Michael Liz Wanamaker has been a two-year Varsity starter in goal at Dock Mennonite Academy - she has been a very solid goalie - coming up big in many important games under pressure - she earned BAL second team All-League, honorable mention All-State and all academic, and BAL Senior All-Star game. Liz is very hard working, determined, and willing to go extra mile to improve her skills. Liz will be missed next year - she is an excellent student off the field as well.
