Requirements for Red elt Part I: Kicking Techniques Front Kick Side Kick Impact target with the balls of the feet. Foot pivoted 15-35 degrees. Impact target with the blade of the foot. Toes slightly pointed down Foot pivoted 120-180 degrees. x Kick Round-House Kick Impact target with the heel of the foot. Impact target with the top of the foot. Kick through the target. Foot pivoted 15-35 degrees Foot pivoted 120 degrees. ack Kick Chamber ack Kick Chamber Chamber knee high. Keep foot above the knee. rush your foot against your planted leg to ensure you kick straight back. Look over the top of the shoulder. If you are not looking over the top of your shoulder you are Knee and toes should point down toward the floor. Foot is turned 120-180 degrees

Hook Kick Extension Hook Kick Extend Leg and aim for the outside shoulder of the target. Maintaining your kicking height, pull your heel across the target. ack foot pivoted 120-180 degrees. Part II: Hand Techniques rch Hand Strike Tiger Strike Create a C with the hand. Hand is flat. Target the throat. Pull fingers back. Target the throat. Ridge Hand lock High Forearm lock lock with the ridge of the hand. lock is 90 degrees and wrist even with solar plexus. lock lines up with the shoulder. Wrist even with upper lip. Outside of the arm is inline with outside of the shoulder. rm bent 90 degrees. Part III: Kicking Combinations 1. Foot to foot round-house kick, to hook kick, to round-house kick (same foot Do not put foot down).. Kick through the target on each kick.

2. Double rear leg round-house, cut back 45 degrees, ax kick.. Focus on turning your hip.. Set your foot down under your right shoulder. Left foot under left shoulder, right foot under right shoulder. 3. Round-house kick, padachagi 45 degree round-house.. Cut back 45 degrees as the kick is thrown. Part IV: Poomsae: Taeguek Yok Jang

Part V: One Step Sparring ttacker: Face punch. Defender: Left foot inside crescent kick, right foot step back into kicking stance. Right foot spinning kick. Right foot front kick, step down into forward stance, right hand face punch, Kihap.. Spin hook kick over the top of the attackers arm. C. Full rotation so your kicking foot finish behind. C. Kick to solar plexus.

ttacker: Face punch. Defender: Left foot step forward into back stance, left hand knifehand inside block. Turn behind with right foot, reverse elbowstrike to back of attacker s neck. Grab collar and right leg sweep. Left hand face punch, Kihap. C. Step to the outside of the attacker s foot.. Line up your hip to the attacker hip once you turn. D C. Lift right foot and hit calf to calf. D. Do not lean over on the punch.

ttacker: Face punch. Defender: Right foot step forward 45 degrees into horse riding stance, left hand knifehand block and right hand knifehand strike to neck (at same time). Left hand grab attacker s wrist, right hand reverse knife hand strike to attacker s neck. Grab attacker s collar, pull down into right knee strike, right leg sweep attacker. Right hand face punch, Kihap. C. Step off 45 degrees but close enough to reach the neck.. Turn hip and shoulder on the reverse knifehand strike. Do not only use arm to counter-attack. C. Pull attacker into your knee and aim for solar plexus.

Part VI: Self Defense ttacker: Stand behind partner, grab partner s right shoulder with your right hand. Defender: ring left arm straight up, while stepping back with left foot, wrap left arm around attacker s arm. Right hand palm strike to attacker s chin, right leg sweep attacker. Right hand face punch, Kihap.. Lock attacker s arm above their elbow to maintain control.. Make sure you are hip to hip with the attacker prior to the sweep. ttacker: Standing behind partner, grab partner s right shoulder with your right hand. Defender: Left foot step back into horse riding stance, left elbow strike to attacker s solar plexus. Left hand reach under, then over attacker s arm, right hand grab own left wrist, pull attacker forward and down. Right knee strike to attacker s solar pluxus, then right leg sweet attacker. Right hand face punch, Kihap.

ttacker: Standing behind partner, grab partner s right shoulder with your right hand. Defender: Left foot step back into horse riding stance, left elbow strike to attacker s solar plexus. Left hand reach under, then over attacker s arm, right hand grab own left wrist, pull attacker forward and down. Right knee strike to attacker s solar pluxus, then right leg sweet attacker. Right hand face punch, Kihap.. Step to the outside of the attacker s right foot to set up the knee strike.. Lift leg to sweep out the attacker s foot. Pull down on the attacker s left should and push.

ttacker: Stand behind partner, grab partner s right shoulder with your right hand. Defender: Left foot step back and duck underneath attacker s arm. Right hand grab attacker s hand. Push left forearm against attacker s elbow and push attacker to the ground. Right hand twist attacker s arm behind their back, place left knee on top their back below the arm. Right hand pull attacker s head back, Kihap. C. Step across and under attacker s arm.. Maintain control of the attacker s arm. C. Pull attacker s hand toward your hip and pivot with your right foot until attacker goes down. Part VII: Sparring One minute and non-contact Sparring. Part VIII: oard reaking Spin side kick
