Supplemental Rules: 1. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND CHUMPCAR S 2012 RULES! I didn t understand or I guess I was looking at the 2011 rules won t help you. 2. Do not wait until the last minute to get through Tech. Plan to arrive early. The later you wait, the longer the line gets, and ChumpCar will shut the tech line down at 6pm 3. If you miss Tech, Registration or Gear Check on Friday, you will have to wait until the race is underway on Saturday. Staff will have their hands full Saturday morning preparing for a hot track. 4. Mandatory drivers meetings really are mandatory. We cover info you ll need to know when you re driving, fueling, eating, etc. 5. All fueling and driver changes will be completed in the hot pit area 6. Prepare to show your wrist band to the official at Pit Out before entering the track. If you don t have a wrist band, car tech sticker or gear check sticker, you will not be allowed on track. 7. Any hard, intentional or repeat contact between cars will earn you a black flag. Minor, incidental contact is not generally considered an offense unless it s repetitive. Maintain racing room at all times. 8. ALL CARS entering Pit Road will stop at Pit In and get a timer. There are no exceptions. All cars leaving Pit Road will stop at Pit Out. There are no exceptions. 9. Violating the fueling rules will result in your car being held at Pit Out. 10. All cars, used or junk parts and anything else you brought with you that the rest of the free world would consider as junk must be taken home with you. 11. Impound closes 15 minutes after the last car exits the track. Once impound closes the results of the race are final and no protests will be heard. 12. NIGHT RACING there will be some. Make sure your headlights, marker lights and brake lights are compliant with the rules. We will be using the SLS system at night to communicate yellow and red flag conditions, these will be demonstrated at the Drivers Meeting. 13. There will not be any course configuration changes 14. Iowa Speedway uses cones and tire walls in some parts of the infield. These are not considered part of the racing surface. You will be black flagged if you are observed hitting them. 15. This is a nice, top-notch facility. Keep it clean! Make sure you have Oil Dri and that you use it for any gas, oil or brake fluid spills. Thanks.
Paddock Assignments are first come, first serve. Park in an orderly manner Garages are available for rent for $100 for the weekend. These are nice, clean stalls, with lights, restrooms, overhead power, showers, etc. It s a long race, you may have car issues. You ll want one of these. Pit Assignments will be given at registration. Don t unpack until you know where you re supposed to pit. RV, Camping and Hotel info MOTORHOME SPACES: The track is going to open up "RV Hill" for Chumps. That's the RV parking section, above and outside the track, that runs from T3 along the back straight, all the way to T4. $100 per RV for both Friday and Saturday nights. BBQ and open fire pits (above ground) are allowed up there. There's an access road (an easy walk or golf cart ride) from RV Hill to the tunnel and back into the track, so some teams may want to park up there for better race watching. HOTEL: There are several hotels in Newton. The closest to the speedway is the AmericInn, one minute from the gate. Ok, that s it.
