All horses shall be under control and direction at the Southern Cross Arabian Cutting Show, but solely at the risk of the exhibitor who will be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to any person, animal, or property occasioned by him or his agents or employees, or by an animal owned or exhibited by him and shall indemnify the Southern Cross Arabian Cutting Show or Southern Cross Cutting Horses and Clay Johns against any and all loss, damages and liability thus occasioned, including but not limited to any and all judgments, legal costs, including legal fees which may be incurred as a result thereof. The submitting of an entry form to the Show Manager or Secretary shall constitute an acceptance of the provisions herein set forth.

CLASS SPECIFICATIONS ALL CUTTING CLASSES WILL BE SHOWN AND PAID OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ARABIAN CUTTING HORSE ASSOCIATION RULES AND STANDARD TACHA PAYOUT. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT TACHA / AHA RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. AHA / TACHA INFORMATION Rules: This horse show shall be conducted are conducted in accordance with rules of the Arabian Horse Association, and the rules of The Arabian Cutting Horse Association. The official rule book of each organization will prevail for this show. This premium list is based on rules of the current rule book, and changes or corrections of rules will automatically become a part of this premium list. Each participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to these rules. Questions not covered by these rules shall be decided by the Show Committee and their decision will be final. REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS - PUREBRED ARABIANS must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian Horse Association or in the case of a foreign entry have been issued a competition visa by the Arabian Horse Association, and / or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry or, if under 1 year of age, be eligible for registry, and registration applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. In the case of a sale or lease, a statement from the owner must be submitted with a copy of the registration papers. ( Exception: Horses under 1 year of age that are eligible for registry and registration applied for. ) See article 1105 for complete rule. HALF-ARABIANS / ANGLO-ARABIANS must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian Horse Association in the Half-Arabian or Anglo-Arabian Registry, or have been issued an Arabian Horse Association CPAR ( Canadian Part-bred Arabian Registry ) Permit or if under 1 year of age, be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. A photocopy of each horse s registration certificate ( both sides ) must accompany entries. Include copies of AHA membership cards of owners, trainers, and exhibitors. In the case of sale or lease, it is required that a contract of sale or lease, or statement from the owner be submitted with a copy of registration papers. AHA COMPETITION LEVEL MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Current Membership is required at the time of entry and at the time of participation. Photocopies of AHA Competition cards must be included with the horse entry forms at the time of entry. Points or placing for AHA Programs and Regional and National Qualifications will not be recorded for horses shown by participants who are not AHA members. Each participant at an AHA Recognized Show, Division or Event must submit a valid AHA membership number, join AHA at the show or pay a $35 Single Event

Membership fee per person ( Res. 5-02 ). Single Event Members shall only have exhibiting privileges for the duration of the event where the membership is purchased. ( Res. 3-94 ) Single Event Membership does not include personal excess liability insurance coverage. Single Event Membership is not available for Regional or National Competitions. JUDGING / JUDGE: Show will be judged under TACHA / NCHA / AHA 2013 Rulebook guidelines. Classes will use the Single Judge System. In the event that due to an illness or failure of a judge to attend the show or to perform his / her duties, the Show Committee reserves the right to substitute a judge for the one who is officially designated in the prize list. It is a violation of TACHA / NCHA / AHA Rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that is considered offensive or made with intent to influence or cast aspersions of judging and an exhibitor may be barred from the show for the offense by the Show Committee. No contact shall be made with the Judge during the period of the show unless accompanied by a member of the Show Committee designated for that purpose. Further, no exhibitor may approach a Judge regarding a decision unless he / she first obtains permission from the Steward who shall arrange an appointment with the Judge at a proper time and place. No exhibitor has the right to inspect Judge s cards without the permission of the Judge. ENTRIES: All entries must be made on the official entry forms and accurately completed in accordance with the AHA and TACHA rules. Failure to complete and sign the entry forms accurately may result in refusal of entry. The Show Committee reserves all rights to refuse any entries. Owner, trainer, and exhibitor must sign the entry form in the spaces provided. If owner and trainer are the same, owner must sign both places. The complete name and address of the owner must appear. Exhibitors are cautioned to abide by the restrictions concerning exhibiting horses before judges as provided for in Art. 804. A COPY OF BOTH SIDES OF THE REGISTRATION PAPERS MUST BE INCLUDED WITH ENTRY. ALSO INCLUDE COPIES OF AHA MEMBERSHIP CARD. PROTESTS: Protests must be filed in accordance with normal procedure to the Show Committee. Exhibitors are responsible for their own errors and those of their agents in preparation of entry forms and participation. Exhibitor numbers will not be released until all show fees are paid in full. The following must be mailed to the Show Manager: 1. Complete signed entry form 2. All fees payable to Southern Cross Cutting Horses 3. Copy of both sides of registration papers, or proof of ownership i.e., contract, lease, etc. 4. Copy of AHA Membership cards ( owner, trainer, exhibitor ). If a horse s registration is in a farm name, a copy of the farm / ranch membership card is also required.

FACILITIES There is a new 120 W x 120 L covered show arena with cattle pens and a 130 W x 165 L loping area. There is also another 145 W x 145 L outdoor training arena next to the show arena. Limited number of stalls at this facility: There are 20 inside stalls with runs, runs may be allocated as stalls if needed, and 10 outside stalls available. More stalls will be erected with panels if needed. There are no tack stalls available. Stalls will be assigned as entries are received. Shavings are to be purchased at $8.00 per bag. NO STRAW BEDDING OR OUTSIDE SHAVINGS ALLOWED. There is a RV power hookup with septic available, first come first served, there are also power hookups out of 4 different barns available. Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Dr. Becky Brewer, OKC, 405-522-6131, Permit line 405-522-6141, Requirements as of 6/23/09: Driving by unlicensed minors: GR901.29 requires the following rule be printed in the prize list for every licensed competition: Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and / or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and / or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

RULES AND REGULATIONS Disqualifications: Any horse doctored in any way, artificially, improperly, or unfairly prepared or tampered with before coming in the show arena will be disqualified. If it is ascertained that any exhibitor has made, or caused to be made, a false statement in regard to any animal or article exhibited, or any exhibitor shall attempt to interfere with the Judge in the performance of his / her duties, that exhibitor will be excluded from competition. In the case of any animal being disqualified, the winner of the next succeeding prize in the class shall take the prize that had been awarded to the disqualified entry, and the lowest monied prize in the class shall go to the reserve number. Discipline: Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to any of the show officials on the part of the owner, groom, rider, or handler will disqualify their horse from all competitions at the Show. The Management reserves the right to remove a groom, horse, owner, trainer, or handler from the Show without being liable for any compensation or damages. Refusal of entries: In addition to entries suspended or expelled from the Horse Show, Show Committee, Show Manager, or Show Management reserves the right to refuse entry of any exhibitor or owner who has shown an objectionable attitude towards Southern Cross shows, or its management, or previous unsportsmanlike behavior at any AHA / TACHARecognized Show or to its Management. Identification Numbers: Every horse entered shall be assigned an identification number. The identification number is to be visible on the rider or the horse during the show. Identification numbers will be allocated when all fees are paid to the Show Secretary. Classes must be pre-entered. All classes must be pre-entered. All scratches will be dealt with in accordance with TACHA and AHA rules. The closing date is July 25 th, 2014. If for any reason you wish to cancel your entries before that date, all fees will be refunded except Office Fees, Stall Fees and Cattle Fees. Entries cancelled after the closing date will forfeit all fees unless a veterinarian statement of unfitness to show accompanies the cancellation. If so, only class entry fees will be refunded. No Cattle Fees, Stall Fees or Office Fees will be refunded under any circumstances.
