The 3 rd Quarter ends on Friday, March 31 st with a minimum day schedule. Grades will be in by Monday, April 3 rd and report cards available for pick up the afternoon of Wednesday, April 5 th. Any report cards that are not picked up by the afternoon of Thursday, April 6 th will be mailed on Friday, April 7 th. Our 8 th grade students know what is at stake with Magic Mountain and the graduation ceremony coming up. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have questions or concerns. On Friday, March 31 st, Orcutt Junior High and Lakeview 8 th grade basketball teams will compete on the court during the minimum day schedule. The Day Game is a tradition and is set up for 8 th grade students to cheer on their friends. I am very excited to see all of our students in school colors filling our side of the stands. This friendly competition is what makes Junior High great. The Disneyland ticket raffle fundraiser started this last Monday and will run until Friday, March 31 st. The tickets are five dollars apiece and the proceeds go to our Lakeview PTSA. The PTSA has been very intentional about minimizing fundraisers. I would really appreciate your support as they try to meet their goal of 3,000 dollars. This money goes right back into the school. The Little Mermaid, under the direction of Mz. Jean Byrne, begins its run of performances on Monday, April 3 rd and Tuesday, April 4 th with two days of student only shows. Thursday, April 6 th, Friday, April 7 th and Saturday, April 8 th there are Evening shows starting at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 9 th a matinee performance at 2 p.m. provides the close to what I am sure will be another great example of student talent and hard work.
