There are plenty of events scheduled at our Club in the fall and winter months. Our shooting activities tend to slow down in November except for the Rifle that will be open every day, except Thursdays, from November 1st through the 14th.Winter Trap League begins on December 4th and all Leagues begin the week following New Year s day. Our Third Annual Pheasant Hunt is planned for January 28 2017. We have already begun planning for our annual Wild Game dinner March 25, 2017 and tickets will be available Dec. 13th GMM meeting. Elections for the Board of Directors will be held at the Dec. GMM Meeting. Hope to see everyone at our Annual Christmas Dinner/ Party on December 10th. See you at the Club Joe Burke H.P.S.A. Contact the club 586-749-5420 or Chef Mark Lietke to arrange a drop off. Joey Maniaci update It was nine months ago Joey was put on life support. He has come along way in that time. He is back at school and doing very well. Going back to school has proved to be the best thing he could have done. Last Sunday when Joni and I dropped him off at school he was using a walker to walk. He also has a scooter to get around campus. Well that Wednesday we had to drive back up and see him and he walked out the back door with a cane. Today he and his mother left for the Mayo Clinic to get a second opinion on the legs. He still doesn t have any feeling in the right leg from the middle of the calf down. Page 5 What s Coming Wild Game Dinner Gun Raffle Tickets Coming Soon We will be mailing 2 gun raffle tickets for each member to sell or purchase. You will identify the mailing by the Red Label indicating Raffle Tickets Enclosed. It is imperative that all tickets stubs be returned as required by the Michigan Charitable Gaming Division. This Raffle is a part of our biggest fund raiser of the year and we urge all members to participate in making this a big success. Pheasants Forever December 3,2016 Mentored Youth Hunt Macomb County Chapter Youth Ages 10-18 are invited for a day of skill development, demonstrations, and the best of all pheasant hunting! The cost for each youth to participate is $20.00 per hunter, also a $5.00 fee for each non-hunter to cover lunch. Tasks include: Setting up cords and microphones for Trap and Skeet, collecting Fees for Trap/ Skeet and and, filling the Trap and Skeet house, shutting down the sporting clays course at the end of the day, greeting guests and members as they enter the club, answering the phone.
