Also to Mike Jennett and Ray Van for setting up the shoot each week and to Joy Jennett for keeping track of the stats for both leagues. Thanks also to Don Gallagher for the preparation of the fantastic steak dinner at the archery banquet, and to his helpers John Paterek and Matt Roberts. Friday Night Youth Archery: Thanks to Stan Russell for heading up the Friday night shoot and to Teri Seifert for assisting him. 25 kids enjoyed the Friday evening shoots. They plan to start Friday night back up in November, 2018. Youth Shotgun Program: Michigan Clay Target High School League: Our shooters from both Anchor Bay and L Cruese-North are competing for scores and working toward the State Shoot on June 16th at Mason and the July National s in July. We will report at the May & June GMM on how they are doing in the standings. The League has grown to 45 schools and 975 shooters, thus there will be much more competition this year. Our shooters are part of Conference 3 (L Cruese-North) and Conference 7 (Anchor Bay). AIM: We have shot our first ATA (by the time you read this) of the season at Birmingham Gun Club on Sunday, April 23rd. The kids did well. Some were a little disappointed with their scores: but, we know they will improve as they continue to work toward State s the end of June and National s in July. Our next ATA is at Blue Water Sportsmen Association on April 29 & May 20th. Many of are shooters are new to the ATA & AIM and are still finding their way around the competition mind set; but, again with time and practice they will make us proud. Our Wavier Shooters are gaining confidence and starting to hit targets. Many of them have already moved from field 4 to 3, which means they are hitting targets and know what Trap is all about. Safety first, stance and fun. Come out and check us out and see how our shooters are doing on Mondays. Practice starts at 6:00pm. We are still accepting new shooters. For more information, please email: jvcamp01@att.net or phone 810-364-6321. Coach & Mrs. V
