OLD BUSINESS: Texas Roadhouse- From Dean Demorest: Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the good weather, good parking, good seating, good company, tasty grub and guzzle and of course the outstanding Texas Roadhouse service we ve all come to know and love! Unofficially we had 34 individuals in attendance (Not sure if that included my two half pints or not). We re also glad to report that EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL who attended SMILED AT LEAST ONCE!

Hawkeye Downs Fund Raiser Two people picked up membership applications. Virg and Richard both had cars in Saturday s show. The fund raiser was to help improve their facility. We will be celebrating the 30 th anniversary of Camp Courageous next year. Suggestions were made on how to celebrate the anniversary. New t-shirts, recognize people who have attended every year if you have an idea, please let Brad or Mary Johnson know. o o Brad and Mary Johnson will be retiring from chairing Camp Courageous after next year. Please consider taking over the position for them. They are more than willing to show you the ropes with the planning of next year s so it is a great opportunity to step in and shadow them so they can show you how they did it. Thank you to Brad and Mary for your 17 years of volunteering!!!! Discussion was to have Corvette Club and/or other car clubs help take over for 2018. We will still help, such as parking, but no longer lead the event. More information needs to be discussed about this so it was tabled until the December meeting. Drag City- We had 145 paid racers (almost 100 were new racers)! We netted $1,445! Thank you again to Larry Hampton and everyone else who helped in making this event a success!!! So successful that Larry received many phones calls from people wanting to know when the next one will be! Participants filling out entry forms for the 22nd Annual Drag City as well as spectators lining the strip enjoying the drag races.

This years 'Drag City Choice' went to Greg Peterson form Nevada, IA with his Model A coupe highboy. Greg has been putting a lot of miles on his recently com build.
