Targets In progress Pinner Station Description We would like Pinner station to open the rear gates of the station at school times as well as peak travel times. This would I think make more parents want to use public transport as it would save the walk to the main entrance (approx 10 mins walk) Planned date 05/09/2018 Closed date 30/04/2019 Improve level of awareness of Travel Plan measures Description We aim to achieve an improved level of awareness amongst parents of our Travel Plan measures, interventions and promotions aimed at achieving more sustainable journeys to school. The Travel Plan policy will be disseminated to all parents in the school. Planned date 12/01/2018 Closed date 10/07/2019 Parking and walking map Description We want to produce a map of the local area with roads marked for parents to park away from the school, so they can then walk the rest of the way. Planned date 12/01/2018 Closed date 03/12/2018 4 / 16

Stories School active travel policy Our story At a JTA meeting we discussed what we would like to include in our Travel Policy. We wanted the policy to include separate sections for staff, children and parents. We thought this was a good idea as it would make everyone feel included and give separate instructions to each group. We also would like the policy to be discussed in class and that each child is given the opportunity to realise the benefits of active travel. s of activity 13/07/2018-10/07/2019 Number of participants 9 Theatre in Education Our story We had For2feet come in to do a Road Safety assembly for our Prep Department and Pre-Prep Department. Each assembly was aimed at the relevant age group and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children. It was an interactive assembly and the children could take part. It helped the children understand the dangers of driving and crossing the road. s of activity 06/02/2018-10/09/2018 Number of participants 200 School travel working group Our story We have 8 JTA's at Reddiford school from Years 5 & 6. We meet once a fortnight to discuss all matters relating to parking and travel. We go out on patrols wearing Hi-Viz at peak drop off and pick up times, we write down number plates of parents that have parked inconsiderably and name and shame in our Traffic & Travel newsletter. The children enjoy this as they get an understanding of how people can get upset by someone parking over their drive or doing a three point turn in the middle of the road and causing chaos. We also hold assemblies to try and teach the rest of the school about parking sensibly. s of activity 15/01/2018-01/07/2019 Number of participants 8 Junior Travel Ambassador (JTA) Scheme Our story When the JTA's go on patrol we take number plates down and name and shame in our Traffic & Travel newsletter. This is something that goes out to the whole school. It is also useful for recognising repeat offenders who will then be spoken to. s of activity 11/09/2017-10/07/2019 Number of participants 8 15 / 16
