E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 Stand: 18.10.2018 1. General Information 1.1 E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 is a national restricted event, by invitation only and is included in the RMCGF 2018. Expenses for supplied karts, engines, tyres, entry fee for qualified drivers of DEKM RGF 2018 are covered by BRP-ROTAX, as long as these Sporting Regulations and ROTAX MAX Challenge Technical regulations 2018, when applied, will be followed. 1.2 The E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 organizing committee is the following: IKmedia: Luca Stegner Zoran Vucenovic RIC TECH / BRP-Rotax: Thomas Praxmarer (Sporting & technical coordinator) (Media coordinator) 1.3 E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 shall be run in accordance with this Sporting Regulations and the following regulations: International Sporting Code (CDI) Specific Prescriptions for Karting RMCGF Technical Regulations 2018, when applied International Technical Regulations 2018. Technical Regulations DMSB electric Kart (DEKM) 1.4 The event will be run from the 25th to the 26th November 2018 at International Circuit Paladino. 1.5 The event will be run according the time schedule for the RMCGF 2018 published as an Appendix at least 30 days before the event. 2. Karts 2.1 General Only the use of ROTAX THUNDeR e-karts is allowed. (following technical regulation of DMSB). Minimum weight: 220 kg The drivers racing in the E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 will run on one brand chassis with engines supplied by BRP-ROTAX free of charge. Damages on the electrical system (powertrain, harnesses, batteries, display, junction box) have to be repaired by RIC TECH / BRP-Rotax. Any other damages on the Rotax THUNDeR ekart have to be repaired by the mechanics of the drivers. The charge for exchanged parts is listed in the ROTAX Thunder parts list. Only the modifications listed in the DMSB technical regulation for electric Karts are allowed. Work on the electric karts are only permitted by trained personnel of RIC TECH / BRP-Rotax as well as by the driver and his mechanic. Further changes / manipulations (without the approval of the responsible Technical Scrutineer) are not permitted and will be reported to the stewards for further punishment. Seite 1/12

2.2 Tyres Slicks: For free practice, qualifying, warm up, and racing, 2 front tires and 2 rear tires (standard Mojo tires, specification: D5) are allowed and included in the registration. Wets: For the free practice, time training, warm up and final phase are basically max. 2 front tires and 2 rear tires (standard Mojo tires, specification: W3) approved and included in the registration. The rain tires are issued as required in consultation with the Sporting coordinator. All tyres are marked with barcode and can only be used by the assigned driver. Strictly no modifications or tire treatment allowed. MiniRAE Lite will be used to check for tire treatment. Threshold value of 4 ppm may not be exceeded. If this value is exceeded, driver will not be allowed to go to the pre-grid. Tires must be mounted according to the sense of rotation defined on the tire. 2.3 Front spoiler Should it be determined within the check at the entrance of the Pre-Grid that the front spoiler does not meet the specification, the driver concerned with this front spoiler will not have access to the Pre-Grid (consequently no participation in the relevant contest section (free practice, time training, warm-up, final phase) this measure is not allowed, and protests and appeals have no suspensive effect. The use of a homologated Front Fairing and of the homologated Front Fairing Mounting Kit of the bodywork homologation period 2015 2020 is mandatory, in accordance with CIK Specific Prescriptions, article 30 and CIK Technical Drawing No 2d. Appropriate fairings and mounting kits will be provided to Entrants/Drivers with each kart and are the only ones which may be used. The provisions of CIK Specific Prescriptions, article 30 regarding mounting, installation, checking, reporting of breaches and application of penalties will be applied in full. 2.4 Batteries Each driver and his mechanic can charge the Rotax THUNDeR by their own after the instruction of RIC TECH / BRP-Rotax. 3. Registration Enrolments are to be made through the Rotax Online Portal ROTAX EVA (see http://www.eva-ems.com/brp). The application for enrolment must be online by 10.11.2018 at the latest and must be completed in full (including all necessary signatures and evidence in accordance with Art. 1.1). Incomplete applications for enrolment will not be processed / considered. 4. Event charges The event is free of charge 5. Entries to the races With a valid enrolment for the E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018, the enrolled is eligible to participate in the EKarting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 rounds. The top 4 finishers of E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018 races will automatically be registered for the races of the DEKM Rotax Grand Finals 2018. With a valid enrolment for the DEKM Rotax Grand Finals 2018, the entrant is entitled to participate in the DEKM Rotax Grand Finals 2018 rounds. Seite 2/12

6.13.2 All karts must have at all time during the event all the starting numbers (one in the back, other in the front, and on in each side of the kart). Driver will not be allowed to go into Servicing Park without all the starting numbers. 6.13.3 Driver will not be allowed to go into Servicing Park without all the starting numbers. 6.13.4 The name and the country flag of the driver will be provided by the organizer and shall appear on each side of the lateral bodywork and be clearly visible. 6.13.5 The flag of the driver s nationality shall be that of the nationality of his license. 7. Implementing Rules 7.1 General / Definition Status: The competition has the status National A. Schedule The event will be conducted according to the timetable published with the event invitation. Approved changes are announced by the organizer in bulletins approved by the stewards. Official Notice board All event-related documents will be posted to the official notice board on-site. Start-Servicing-Parc The Start Servicing Parc is a separate area to which only authorized persons have access. Once the access to the starting Servicing Parc for a class is permitted by the organizer, drivers of that class have the right to travel with a kart and max. 1 mechanic per driver to enter this area. Each driver is also allowed to take his / her wheels / tires and tools marked for the event into the starting servicing parc. Pre-Grid area The Pre-Grid area is an area separated from the paddock, to which only authorized persons have access. As soon as the organizer allows access to the Pre-Grid area for the E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas 2018, the drivers have the basic authorization to enter the area with the ready-to-go kart and one (1) mechanic per driver. In the Pre-Grid area, no work on the kart, except for the correction of the tire pressure, may be carried out. The entrance to the Pre-Grid area will be closed 3 minutes before the scheduled start time (according to schedule). Drivers who do not reach the Pre-Grid area in time will not be allowed to participate in this session. Repair area The location of this zone is determined by the organizer. It must have a driveway and an exit to the race track. Only in the repair area may foreign assistance from authorized persons be accepted during the training and final phase. Flags In addition to standard flags there might be shown the blue flag with a red cross, during pre-final and final Boost-Function The boost function can be used after a charging time of 30 seconds for 5 seconds. 7.2 Registration / scrutineering Registration takes place as scheduled during the events according to the official time schedule. For document verification / registration, the license holders must provide in person: - Licenses of applicant / sponsor (possibly original authority with license copy) - Driver license - Entry form with all original signatures (applies to guest starters) - Minimum Age of a competitor is 15. The material intended for the competition must be accepted and marked by the Technical Scrutineer. Seite 4/12

7.3 Free Practice The free practice session of 08-minute take place according to time schedule. The training time and the training duration are freely selectable for each driver within the scheduled training period. 7.4 Briefing All participants will be briefed on Sunday according to the time schedule. Participation throughout the briefing is mandatory for each driver. The presence of all Drivers is mandatory. Drivers not attending the briefing will be liable to incur a fine of 150 EUR. It is the Drivers / Entrants duty to enquire about time and place of the briefing and/or consecutive briefings. The time and detailed location will be posted on the official notice board and available from the Race office. The director is responsible for the briefing. If the organizer has to give event-related messages to the participants, he must hand them over in written form to each participant / applicant in consultation with the race director for paper acceptance. 7.5 Qualifying (practice) The qualifying takes place on Sunday. The duration of the qualifying is 8 minutes. a) Drivers must be on track 3 min after Qualifying Practice started. If a driver is not on track after those 3 min the driver will be disqualified from Qualifying Practice. If more than one driver has been disqualified the starting positions will be done according article 18B of CIK Specific Prescriptions. b) The final classification of the Qualifying Practice will be established according article 18B of CIK Specific Prescriptions. c) Any driver who has not participated in the Qualifying Practice may request in writing to the Stewards the authorization to continue in the race. The Stewards will decide according to the circumstances of the absence in the Qualifying Practice. There will be no right of appeal against the Stewards decision. The fastest time is evaluated for the starting grid of the Pre-Final. In the case of equality of time, the second fastest lap of the drivers concerned is used for the distinction (then the third fastest lap, etc.). 7.6 Starting Grid/ Start Basically, the starting positions for free practice, time training, race warm up in the Pre-Grid area are completed. The drivers will be shown the 5-minute board, 3-minute board, 1-minute board and 30 second board until the start. If the circumstances require, the 5-minute board can be omitted. If there is an information lap before the standing start of a race will be clarified during the drivers briefing. For the race: Karts who are unable to complete the formation lap after the race director / race director has shown the green flag must be brought to the Pre-Grid area or the repair area by the organizer's assistant (the race director decides to brief). There the help of the mechanic can be availed. Only when the entire field has completed the race start, these drivers may restart. If the access from this zone to the race track is after the finish line, these restarted drivers have completed the first round when they cross the line for the first time. Start Delayed: If the Race Director / Race Director indicates "START DELAYED" due to changing weather conditions, repairs / modifications to the kart can be made within a specified range and within a specified range. The duration of the final is 8 rounds. 7.9 Scrutineering after qualifying/races All participants have the obligation to present themselves to the Technical Scrutineers immediately after completion of the qualifying session or the races. From end of session to leaving the control area of the scrutineers in the "Finish Servicing Area", the provisions of the Parc Fermé apply. 7.10 Ceremony Participation in the award ceremony is mandatory for all drivers. There will be an award ceremony on Saturday based on the ranking achieved in the final race. During the award ceremony, all the drivers to be honoured must wear their closed driver's overalls and the cap of the tire sponsor. 7.11 Official Onboard-Camera/s The stewards may determine the installation and use of official cameras during the competition on specified karts. The selection of the relevant karts takes place at random. Only with these karts the transmission of the signal of this camera may be wireless. The installation of the equipment is under the control of the Technical Commissioners. The mass of this entire piece of equipment is part of the total competition weight. 7.12 INSURANCES In compliance with the legal prescriptions, CBA has contracted one or several insurance(s) for the event guaranteeing to cover the following risk(s): CBA affects a Master Insurance Policy, number 1005100027747, in respect of third party civil liability with a value of 5.000.000 brasilian reais. CBA affects a Master Insurance, number 640256 in respect of a Personal Insurance for drivers and race officials with a value of 100.000,00 brasilian reais. 7.13 Protest and Appeals The right to protest lies only with the entrants. Protests and/or appeals must be in accordance with Article 13 and 15 of the International Sporting Code Amount of the Protest fee: Sporting protest: 800 brasilian realis Technical protest: 1600 realis (for checking) + 800 Brazilian realis (for each item to be protested). Amount of the Appeal fee: 3860 Brazilian reais. Payment of protest and appeal fees must be done on site, to the CBA representative during the event. 7.13.1 For reasons of operational necessity, and in line with CIK Championships, the time limit for the presentation of protests during the heats will be amended from 30 minutes to 10 minutes. Any protest must therefore be presented in writing to the Clerk of the Course or to his deputy within 10 minutes after the posting of the results of the Qualifying Practice and Qualifying Heats. 7.13.2 The time limit for presentation of protests during the final phase remains unchanged. That is, within 30 minutes after the posting of the classification of the races of the final phase. 7.13.3 In accordance with Article 12.2.4 of the International Sporting Code, and in line with CIK Championships, time penalties imposed by the Panel of Stewards for infringements of the regulations are not susceptible to appeal. 7.14. Transponder a) The driver will get a transponder for the use during the event. Seite 6/12

b) The use of the transponder is mandatory as from the first non-qualifying practice session and until the Final. It is the entrant / drivers responsibility to mount the transponder in the right position. c) The transponder must be fixed as shown by the technical support of RIC TECH / BRP-Rotax. d) By determination of the Chief Scrutineer, under approval of Stewards, the transponder positioning may be changed for one or for all drivers. 7.15 Penalties Penalties are described in Appendix A 8. Ranking 8.1. Final The result of the final race will be the official result of the E-Karting Cup of FIA-Americas Seite 7/12

APPENDIX A Penalties Catalogue JUMP-START means that any Kart leaves its grid box before lights are green/red lights are switched off. It is irrelevant if the start will be repeated afterwards. 10 seconds With CUT-IN means that Kart 1 constricts the drivable section towards the curve center forcing Kart 2 to leave the drivable section either partial or completely for passing the curve. It is irrelevant if the Karts have touched each other or not. A prerequisite is, however, that Kart 2 has to be at least 1/3 (front tyres next to rear tyres) next to Kart 1. An advantage is at hand, if (either/or): 10 positions 10 seconds With - Kart 2 suffers a position loss or dropout. - Kart 2 suffers a damage leading in a position loss or drop-out within the same lap. EDGE-INTO means that Kart 2 drives next to Kart 1 (e.g. in order to start an overtaking action) without possessing enough driveable section (including kerbs). It is irrelevant if Kart 2 is completely or partial next to Kart 1 or if Kart 2 is completely or partial off the track. BUMP means that the front of Kart 2 touches the rear of Kart 1. Neither the reason nor the intensity of the contact is relevant. Only the consequences of the impact are relevant to judge an advantage, not the impact itself. An advantage is at hand, if (either/or): Warning only - Kart 2 wins a position and the previous order cannot be restored within the same lap. - Kart 1 suffers a position loss or dropout. - Kart 1 suffers a damage leading in a position loss or drop-out within the same lap. With SHORT-CUT means that Kart 2 leaves the track completely and returns to the track at a different section. It is irrelevant why Kart 2 has left the track. An advantage is at hand, if (either/or): - Kart 2 wins a position or gains time which cannot be balanced within the same lap. - Kart 1 or any other is handicapped by the return of Kart 2. - Kart 1 or any other suffers a position loss or drop-out by the return of Kart 2. ZIG-ZAG means that Kart 1 changes the driving line more than two times on a straight track section for more than a kart width. It is irrelevant how far Kart 1 is ahead of Kart 2 or if Kart 2 would have been able to overtake. - Kart 1 acts more than once a time this way within the same race. 10 positions TECHNICAL LACK is at hand, if the Kart is not fulfilling the technical regulations in all parts. It is irrelevant, if the technical lack arises before, during or after the race. It is also irrelevant, if the technical lack would have led to an advantage or not. The only relevant thing is the technical condition at the time of examination. Typical examples for a technical lack are: Exclusion With - Lack of weight - Wrong setup - Modified parts etc. FORMATION FAULT is at hand, if Kart 2 improves it s starting position unforced during the formation lap after having crossed the red line (and before the start has been released). Exclusion With FLAG DISREGARD is at hand, if the driver does not carry out the flag instructions given by either the track personal or clerk of the course. It is irrelevant which flag is in question, why the flag has been disregarded or if the violation would have led to an advantage Exclusion Seite 11/12

With Typical examples of a flag disregard are: - Overtaking under yellow flag. - Continuing the race after receipt of black/orange flag. etc. Participants, who commit an irregularity, shall be punished with a penalty according to the above regulations. Further suggestion: Involved participants shall receive a malus-point for each irregularity, which will stay valid for the whole season.
