AN INTRODUCTION TO JACK GOFF Jack Goff is one of the most promising young talents in UK Motorsport. From the tender age of six when he first got behind the wheel of a go kart, Jack has been racing and winning. At only 26 years old Jack is a true professional; calm, yet focused; confident, yet amazingly humbled by the support he receives from his sponsors. There is no doubt that Jack has an abundance of raw talent, his results on the track only go to prove this. He handles pressure with ease and delivers a performance that is completely devoid of nerves. In 2009 at only 18 Jack began his first year as a professional racing driver by competing in the MG Trophy Championship. Once again he demonstrated his ability to win and earned his place within the world of motor racing by finishing first in his class. With Jack s talent and potential all too evident, his sponsors unanimously decided to give him the opportunity to race in the Elf Renault Clio Cup Championship in 2010. Jack s career in the Clio s culminated with him winning the Championship in 2012. In 2013, with his sponsors support, Jack was able to fulfil his ambition and compete for the first time in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Jack finished the championship in 17th place and ended the season in style with a well earned second place podium position in the last race at Brands Hatch. In 2014 Jack returned to compete in the BTCC for a second year. He improved his finishing position to 15th in the Championship and that included ten top ten finishes throughout the season. In 2015 Jack fulfilled another ambition by joining a workssupported team. Triple Eight signed Jack to drive their second MG6 GT alongside former champion Andrew Jordan. Having started his career by winning the MG Trophy in 2009, this move brought him full circle back to MG. 2015 saw 21 top ten finishes including his maiden victory at Snetterton. 2016 saw Jack s fourth season in the BTCC and a move to the rear wheel drive of BMW 125i M Sport of West Surrey Racing. Jack saw his way to 11th in the championship with two more trips to the podium. 2017 saw a change in team to Eurotech Racing and the Honda Civic Type R. it proved to be his most successful season to date with seven visits to the podium, including an outright win and three pole positions - the most of all the drivers. At the end on the season Jack finished sixth overall in the Championship and only narrowly missed out on the Independant Driver title. BRDC SUPERSTARS Now in its tenth year, BRDC SuperStars is well established as a programme which any serious young British driver aspires to be part of. As the scheme only selects the very brightest prospects, competition for places is tough and keenly fought. Amongst other things, drivers will gain significant benefit of media coverage that the BRDC SuperStars programme itself generates. Indeed, the Club s endorsement of each young driver s status as one of the very brightest prospects in motor sport is undoubted but hard to put a value on.

WHAT THE PROFESSIONALS SAY Accomplished racing drivers and seasoned motor racing team managers alike, agree Jack s talent and potential are all too evident... We are very excited with IHG Rewards Club s decision to take Jack onboard, as we have watched him develop into a top BTCC driver in the last couple of years. The 2016 Dunlop MSA BTCC championship is shaping up to be another great season, so with Jack joining WSR, it will further strengthen our already strong line up in the BMW 125i M Sport. We have a lot of pre season testing planned, so that will be good for Jack to have time to adjust to our RWD BMW s. We also really appreciate that Jack s loyal sponsors will be continuing to support him. Jack works as a race instructor, passing on the knowledge and experience he has gained over his many years on track.

ABOUT THE BTCC The British Touring Car Championship is one of the best loved, most illustrious and famous motor racing championships in the world. Since its inception in 1958 it has attracted and captivated millions of fans right around the world. From the start, saloon car racing was a huge success with the public, who would pack into Britain s racing venues to watch the top drivers of the day compete in racing versions of their road cars at simply unbelievable speeds. Traditional, great British names such as Jaguar, Austin, Ford, Mini, Lotus, Sunbeam and Triumph often with top international stars, including Formula 1 drivers, at the wheel were all winners in the first 20 years, each aware of the importance of using the BTCC to showcase their latest models. By the Eighties, the BTCC was moving with the times and beginning to develop a truly international flavour. Mazda, Toyota and Alfa Romeo were the first three winners of the decade as the championship continued to be run for several classes of car, but the mighty Ford Sierra RS500 and BMW M3 are probably the two most evocative models of the period. It was in the Nineties, however, that the BTCC truly boomed. The championship was already beginning to grow in stature with regular television coverage on the BBC s flagship sports show, Grandstand. When the decision was taken to make the BTCC exclusively for 2-litre cars, it instantly created closer racing and attracted a host of high-profile manufacturers, teams and drivers to the series. Combined with enhanced television coverage and marketing genius, this made the BTCC essential viewing for millions throughout the UK and many millions more throughout the world. Trackside crowd figures sometimes reached the 40,000 mark as the calendar evolved into a major UK tour with events being added in Scotland and Wales. Not surprisingly, the manufacturers simply could not afford to miss out and the number taking part in the series grew rapidly. Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Toyota, Vauxhall and Volvo: all realised the enormous marketing value of competing in the BTCC and were quick to capitalise on the opportunity. Every one of them has the BTCC to thank for being a part of their continued growth in the UK today.

ABOUT THE BTCC Twenty years on, now with unprecedented levels of national television coverage from ITV, that same 2-litre formula continues to provide one of motor sport s most addictive, action-packed atmospheres for an audience of millions, as well as the perfect platform for teams, drivers and sponsors to raise their profiles and reputations. BTCC is simply Britain s biggest and most important national car racing championship, says Jonathan Palmer, Chief Executive of MotorSport Vision. Spectators love touring car racing and, with a format carefully designed to provide plenty of on track action, BTCC attracted bigger crowds than any other car racing across our four MotorSport Vision circuits in 2011. A strong television package is essential to provide the broad public awareness necessary to keep major sporting events in the people s minds, and BTCC works hard and effectively with its extensive live ITV4 coverage, continues Palmer. BTCC is very successful, promotes itself strongly, draws big crowds and will hopefully become even more attractive to fans, TV viewers and circuits with future evolution. Another of the BTCC s huge draws is the fact that each of its race events offers free admission for children, in some cases up to the age of 16, making it hugely popular with families and young, future fans. Furthermore, the sport is unique in allowing the public to interact with their heroes thanks to an open paddock policy at the majority of events. THE TEAM Eurotech Racing is a well-established race team based in the Midlands, founded by Mike Jordan in 1987 when the team started out preparing Porsches.
