Payments by checks or money orders made out to "CSRA Heat" and mailed to CSRA Heat, 5075 Bryant Cove Rd., Evans, Ga. 30809. WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT? At least 2 practices per week of 1.5 to 2.5 hours each one weeknight & Sunday afternoon. Tournaments are on many Saturdays starting in early January through the end of March / early April. We generally leave early Saturday morning and return home late Saturday night. There are occasions that we would recommend leaving Friday night and spending the night in the area we will be playing on Saturday. The Regional Tournament in Charlotte, NC, as well as the Power and Open level multi-day tournaments, are organized in waves. Teams that have the afternoon wave often do not need hotel accommodations the night before. WHAT IS EXPECTED OF PLAYERS? Outstanding attitude and dedication to the club, the coaches, other team members, parents, and officials. Treat your teammates, coaches, parents, and club administration with respect. Good eating habits; NO alcohol, drug, or tobacco use; no inappropriate language. Attendance at practice is mandatory for tournament participation. Read your e-mail often and check the website at www.csraheat.com. KEEP YOUR GRADES UP! Volleyball should not be a detriment to academics. While we do travel on the weekends, the daily time commitment is far less compared to the high school athletics. Students-athletes are expected to use their time wisely and to maintain high CSRA Heat 2018-2019 Parent Information Page 3 of 6

standards for achievement. WHAT IS EXPECTED OF PARENTS? Outstanding attitude and dedication to the club, the coaches, other team members, parents, and officials. Treat all the players, coaches, parents, and club administration with respect. In addition: help with transportation, food, work at tournaments, and other duties as assigned. Dues on time every time. You will receive email notification for your monthly payments. Your player will forfeit all rights to participate in club including practicing and playing, if dues are not paid on time. Coaches will be notified of players ineligible for practice/play due to missed payments. Read your e-mail often and check the website at www.csraheat.com before contacting coaches or administrators with questions. Any concerns or questions about club policies should be directed to the Club Director at director@csraheat.com. WILL ALL THE GIRLS GET TO PLAY IN EVERY MATCH? Our philosophy is that every girl will get some playing time in every match as long as their dues are current, they ve been to practice, they re not injured, and they re not being disciplined for behavior or attitude problems. However, we have great coaches and intend to allow them to do what is best for the teams as a whole. There may be an occasional match that is of such importance to the team and is being played at a level of play that requires that only the strongest players stay on the floor. WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT POWER AND NATIONAL QUALIFIER TEAMS? Power and National Qualifier teams require a higher level of commitment from the players, parents, and coaches. Fewer absences are acceptable before intervention is required. Additional practice times. Power teams will have additional practices. Due to the number of multi-day tournaments, a second jersey is included in the fees. Coaches are allowed more discretion for playing time issues CSRA Heat 2018-2019 Parent Information Page 4 of 6

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT LOCAL TEAMS? Local Teams are an opportunity to get many of the benefits of playing club volleyball at a lower cost One coach per team instead of 2. Play at 4 tournaments instead of 7 or 8 No overnight tournaments One T-Shirt style jersey uniform per team WHAT ABOUT THE TRYOUTS? 2018-2019 Tryouts will be held on Oct 20 through November 5 at the Augusta Prep Gyms.
