Attendance Policy We at PDPAA take attendance very seriously. You cannot hope to grow as a dancer and artist if you are not consistent in your timely presence in class. However, we understand that sometimes things come up and you must be late or must miss a class. The following outlines how we expect our students to behave with regards to attendance. You are expected to be on time for class. This means you are dressed IN DRESS CODE, warmed up/stretched, and mentally prepared for class. This generally will mean you need to arrive 1520 minutes before the start of your class to prepare. Please signin on the attendance or makeup sheet before class starts. IN THE EVENT THAT YOU ARE LATE, you must wait outside the studio door until the music stops. Once it stops you are permitted to enter. This is out of respect for the teacher and the other students. IN THE EVENT YOU MUST MISS A CLASS Please adhere to the following: Missing a Class and Making Up a Class You must notify the studio if you will miss a class using one of the following ways: Go to our website (www.precisedance.com) and click on the link that reads LOGIN. Follow the on screen prompts to accurately cancel a class. Write your information on the pink Cancellation sheet in the main office. Call the office at (760) 6186805 and leave a message clearly stating the student s name and the class that will be missed. After you miss a class, you have 2 months from the date of cancellation to take a makeup class. All makeups must be taken in a class at or below the student s current class level. Some classes may be impacted and therefore will not be available. You must have your makeup class approved by the office prior to taking said class. The office has final say as to whether you are approved to take a class as a makeup.
