Attention students: Videos for the Talent Show The opening number for the Talent Show is Champion by Carrie Underwood and Ludacris. Mrs. Bretz is seeking short video clips (30- second or less) of you and your FMS friends dancing, singing, playing an instrument, in a sports game/contest, acting in a play or musical, etc. No audio will be included. These clips will be combined into one video that will be projected on the screen BEHIND the performers of the opening number at the Talent Show.

6th grade Volleyball NEWS: The 6th grade Lady Falcons played GMS in league play on Saturday. The B-team lost, but the A-Team won. Coach Phillips is proud of your hard work and effort!

Volleyball NEWS: The 8th grade VB team defeated WMS and LMS/BC in Regional action on Saturday. Good luck Lady Falcons! They play TONIGHT vs. Jacksonville MS at 6 p.m. in Quincy for the Regional Championship. GO FALCONS!!!

SHS Cheer Tryouts for the 2019-2020 SHS Cheerleading squads are approaching. Tryout packets can be picked up in the main office. The tryout process will begin with a mandatory tryout meeting Tuesday, March 12th at 5:30pm in the SHS Commons. This is a MANDATORY informational meeting for parents and candidates that will provide all the details of the 2019-2020 season. All candidates and parents are required to attend. Please check the SHS Cheerleading Website for Contact information as well as necessary information and updates! The website can be accessed from the SHS home page.

Scholastic Bowl Schedule This Week Tuesday March 5: Scholastic bowl match vs Carlinville and O Fallon @ Carlinville. The bus leaves at 2:45 with the first match starting at 4:00 PM This is a team 1 and team 2 match. Please bring $ for dinner as we are stopping at DQ afterwards. Wednesday, March 6: No practice Thursday, March 7: This is B team match vs Rochester @ Rochester. Bus leaves at 3:00 and we will compete until 5. This will be NAQT style questions. Rochester is providing snacks. :) Friday, March 8: Practice After school from 2:30 to 4:00

Nurses Pipeline Preparatory Program - NP 3 you know a Springfield-area high school or middle school student who dreams of becoming a nurse? The Nursing Pipeline Preparatory Program, or NP 3, gives young people a head start into nursing careers and provides them with early mentors within the Springfield nursing community. The after-school program is sponsored by St. John s College of Nursing in partnership with Springfield Public Schools District 186. This program is open to 8th graders and high school students. Applications are available in the guidance office & on the FMS website.
