3 IMPORTANT Dismissal reminder... If you ride the bus, you need to be in your assigned bus room by 3:50. If you are a car rider, you need to be at parent pick up by 3:50. If you walk, ride your bike, etc. you need to be off campus by 3:55. If you have tutorials or detention, you need to be in the room by 3:50. Starting Wednesday, November 4, if you are not where you need to be by the designated time, your ID will be scanned and you will be given a detention. Make good choices CATS!
4 ALWAYS have your ID on... At the end of 7th period either put your ID in your backpack OR hang it from the loop at the top of your backpack. If you don t have your ID, you will have to get a temporary ID and you will receive a detention.
5 Veteran s Day assembly - Wednesday, Nov 11 Since this will be our first assembly that isn t a pep rally or sports event, let review expectations... No talking, unless audience participation is requested by the performers. Keep hands to yourself. Noises off. Turn off cell phones, beepers, audible watches, and any other sound-making gadgets before any performance. Lights out. Don t forget, the screen on your mobile device can be a distraction too. Do exactly as a supervisor asks or instructs at every event. Always support the performers in a positive way (e.g., clapping at concerts and dramatic performances, cheering and clapping for good plays at athletic events). NEVER demonstrate negative behavior. Always stand respectfully and quietly during the National Anthem. Remove hats and place your right hand over your heart. If appropriate, you may sing along softly. These behaviors demonstrate respect for our country.

Our robotics team competed this past Saturday at Rudder High School against the following teams: A&M Consolidated HIGH SCHOOL Allen Academy (HIGH SCHOOL) Brazos Homeschool (all ages - mostly HIGH SCHOOL) Brenham HIGH SCHOOL Brenham Junior High Bryan Collegiate HIGH SCHOOL College Station Middle School Cornerstone Christian Academy (Middle School & HIGH SCHOOL ages) KOR Education School (Middle School & HIGH SCHOOL ages) St. Michael s Episcopal School (5th - 12th grade) Stephen F. Austin Middle School They received 4th place in the Robot Competition, making it to the finals for the 2nd year in a row! Other 3 teams in the finals: AMCHS, KOR, & Brazos Homeschool. They also received 2nd place OVERALL in the B.E.S.T. category (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) We missed advancing to the state competition by ONE place!

16 AMCMS BOYS BASKETBALL REMINDER: Anyone interested in trying out for the AMCMS 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams need to attend a MANDATORY PARENTS MEETING on Wednesday Nov. 4, at 6:00pm in the AMCMS Cafeteria. You and a parent must attend in order to tryout. This is where you will sign-up. You must have a current athletic physical on file, and all online paperwork complete in order to participate in tryouts, NO EXCEPTIONS! Tryouts will be held Thursday and Friday, Nov. 5 & 6 only for 8th graders 6:45-8: 15am, and 7th graders 4:00-5:30 Thursday 11/5, and 4:00-6:00 on Monday, 11/9. You don t tryout you do not play. Questions or concerns about anything, you must see Coach Mangan before Wednesday.
