FROM THE GOVERNOR Another month gone by. On October 6th the WOTM will be hosting The Country and Western Night with dinner, music and dancing. On October 27th the El Cochino Comedy Show will be held here at 7PM. Buy your tickets soon as only 100 will be sold. Get your ticket for $15 beforehand or $20 at the door. It is a great show and well worth it. The Halloween party will On October 4th, there will be a General Meeting, so pleas show up to hear what is happening at your Lodge. I need cooks!! The Fellowship Degree is a significant achievement in the Moose Order. Congratulations to Brenda. Receiving her Green Cap qualifies her to continue on her journey to receive her College of Regents degree. It also signifies that she worked hard to help the Santa Paula Chapter earn it s Award of Achievement during her year as Sr. Regent. 14 3
From the Senior Regent Ola, Ola: Weather is changing daily, hot one day, muggy the next, then cool in the evening. Gee I just gave the weather report. September went by too fast. I did have somewhat of a great birthday month. WOTM had a great time in Reno at convention. Congratulations to Brenda on her green cap, great job on her accomplishment. Had a great time at Friendship at Jessie s home, good wine, and cheese, hot tub was great. Gee! And it was my birthday. Lots happening in October, we have a Western Dance, get ready to do the two step. The LOOM is also hosting the Cochino Comedy Night, followed by costume Halloween Party. Think I ll be the bride of Dracula, hey what can I say, I have never been a bride. We are also having a Halloween party for the kids on Halloween afternoon. Prizes for costumes and cake walk. If you know any seniors that would like to get out and have some lunch ($3.00) at the Senior Center at the Community Center, I can pick them up if you let me know. It is a nutritional lunch and once a month they have a big affair with entertainment, it is a good place for seniors to socialize. Remember if you need a ride home from the Moose please call me, and I will take you home.. It doesn t matter what time, don t need anyone getting a DUI. We need ideas for our Monday and Thursday football night meals, also for our Friday night dinners. Please fill free to come and help or just join us for the meals. Someday everything will make perfect sense, so for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, and keep reminding yourself everything happens for a reason.
