JANUARY 2010 MUSTANG CLUB OF ST. Our club was very active made some great strides in 2009. As I m looking at the picture gallery on the website, I m blown away by all of the different things we were involved with. There s a total of 36 albums of activities that we participated in. Do you think we can top that in 2010? I personally don t think that will be a problem. We have some new volunteers on our activity committee for 2010 that have already been busy planning for this year. Some of the most memorable events for 2009 started with the Eagle watching cruise last January. That had to be one of the coldest days on record. Next would have to be the deployment party for John Pace. Plenty of food, drink and a screening of the original movie Gone in 60 Seconds. Everyone definitely had a great time. The next memorable event was the 45 th Anniversary Celebration at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. This was a blast on everyone that went had an awesome time. Take a look at the album again and look at what Brenda brought home. I m still shaking my head on this one. We also did two parades in 2009, the St. Dominic Savio School and the 4 th of July parade in Desoto, MO. We also went to Kate s lake house for a BBQ on July 18 th and had a great turnout. We even had two club members, Jim & Sandy tie the knot on July 25 th. They hosted a car show before the wedding at the IBEW s union hall. This was definitely a good time for our club members and an even better day for Jim & Sandy. Congrats!!!! There were several more events that I could mention but I m not sure how much space Sharon has left for the newsletter. I ll just mention one more and that s the Christmas party at Rich and Jennifer s house. Although this wasn t an official club event we sure had a great time with a lot of members attending the party. Thanks to every member who made it to the party. Our club achieved a major accomplishment this past November. The exact date was the 14 th when we became a Regional Chartered Club of the MCA. I attended the MCA meeting in Dallas were the petition was presented and voted on. It was definitely an interesting weekend and I learned a lot about how the MCA operates behind the scenes. I m looking forward to a very busy and exciting 2010. Everyone better hang onto their hats this year, I m sure we ll be cruising at Mach speed.till next month, Keep the Tradition Alive, Mike Herbert Pres. SANTA S MAGICAL KINGDOM CRUISE On Sunday, December 6, about 30 MCSTL members met at the commuter lot just off of I-44 and 141, to cruise just past Six Flags to Santa s Magical Kingdom. Those with convertibles dropped their tops for the 30 minute tour through the light display. After the cruise, all gathered at the local Applebee s for dinner. The weather was mild and it was a wonderful kick-off to the holiday season.

Page 4 CHRISTMAS PARTY HIGHTLIGHTS Our sincere thanks to Rich & Jennifer for hosting our 2nd annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 12!!!! Each member arrived at the Johnston home with a dish to share in hand. Everyone was met at the door by one of the lovely young ladies below who graciously took our coats and extended an extra hand in adding each Christmas treat to the huge spread of food prepared in the kitchen. The evening included a chance to catch up on news, look up car parts on E-Bay, share holiday plans and stories and sample the wonderful food (continued on page 5)
