Championship Rules 1. Competitors may take part more than 1 event (see category chart and entry fee). 2. No change of partner is allowed in the same event. 3. All competitors must attend rehearsal requested by the organiser. 4. The organiser will not accept any liability, claims for injuries or damages of loss suffered by the competitors. 5. The organiser will not accept any claims of any nature whatsoever, in respect of financial benefits through publicity of the competition or otherwise. 6. The organiser reserves the right to change the programme of events or any category that has insufficient participants. 7. The judges decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entertained. 8. All competing couples must be present for their events on time. Latecomers will be disqualified. 9. Competitors in the Pre. Beginners and Beginner category must dance syllabus figures provided by the organizer. Non-compliance will automatically be disqualified. 9a. All competitors taking part in the synchronized dancing event must not have any hands or body contact with their partner throughout their entire dance routine. Participants in the Amateur Event are not allowed to dance in this event. 10. Competitors who had won top 3 placing in Novice event before will not be allowed to participate in the Novice Rising Star event. 11. Competitors who had won top 3 placing in Pre-Amateur event before will not be allowed to participate in the Pre- Amateur Rising Star event. 12. Male competitors in the Standard Beginner categories are not allowed to wear tailcoat. 13. Anyone who wished to record competition, showdance or the whole programmed with any form of recording devices including mobile phones must purchase an official sticker of S$50 from the organiser. 14. Minimum 8 persons to dance and up to maximum 16 persons for a Showdance team (Group) 16. Showdance perticipants must provide their own music in compact disc form to the music co-ordinator during the rehearsal. Total length of music for competition should not be more than 6 minutes including introduction and exit music. Entry allocation will be drawn during rehearsal. Attendance is compulsory. All persons attending this event, whether as spectators, competitors, officials or guests of the organiser shall be bound by the rules of this event and by participating automatically become obliged to the championship rules.
