2 Welcome to Rumba in the Jungle, Sun City 3-6 August 2017 The South African Dance Foundation in conjunction with Sun International are looking forward to hosting the 2017 Rumba in the Jungle at the newly and revamped Sun City. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING POINTS: 1. There will only be Bed & Breakfast accommodation packages available for Rumba in the Jungle 2017 which takes place at Sun City. Cabanas : Booking Reference code: RITJ01 Soho Hotel : Booking Reference code: RITJ02 Cascades : Booking Reference code: RITJ03 2. The organizers and the hotel are not responsible for allocating competitors to rooms. This is the responsibility of the individuals involved. 3. There are gambling facilities at Sun City. Gambling for persons 18 years and over. Sun City supports the National Responsible Gambling Program. 4. There are ATM facilities located all around the Sun City complex. 5. For all information relating to this event and dance related entries call Marion Baxter on info@rumbainthejungle.com/ Computicket sales open on Monday, 24 April Spectators will be able to purchase entrance tickets to Rumba in the Jungle all style festival from any Computicket outlet. 7. Spectator s tickets can be purchased from any Computicket as well as from the Computicket within Sun City. Cost: R150 per person. This is for a full day irrespective of arrival times. Seasonal Tickets are also available at R400 per person for the duration of the festival irrespective of arrival day/s. Dancing is in two venues: Superbowl and Kings Ballroom with unreserved seating. Sun City Security will manage this process. 8. Gala Dinner will be hosted immediately after the Saturday s Gala Evening Session. The cost of ticket per person for the Gala Dinner is R1, 000, which include the sumptuous dinner and entertainment and can also be purchased at the Computicket outlets.

3 9. One commemorative T- Shirt is included in the dancer s entry fee. Please note that the dancer entered may only order one T- shirt, either online or on the order form provided. Should any other commemorative T- Shirts be required by the dancers, spectators or parents, please complete the attached form supplied. 10. CLOSING DATE: The closing date for this event will be strictly adhered to, Friday 30 June The organisers reserve the right to combine or cancel sections, if and when necessary. T-SHIRTS ORDERS & SIZES: T-shirts are to be ordered as follows: 1. Dancers who have entered the competition receive ONE commemorative T- shirt, as part of their entry fee. This t-shirt size must be entered online along with the entry into the competition on OR by completing the attached t-shirt order form below and ing it. If the competition entry has not been done on the online system. 2. Non-dancers (spectators, students, parents etc.) who would like to order a commemorative t-shirt, may do so by completing the attached t-shirt order form below and ing it to info@rumbainthejungle.com with the proof of payment accompanying the order form. ENTRY FEES: The entry fee for the competition is R450 per/dancer (i.e. Amateurs only, excluding the Social/PRO-AM/Salsa/Line Dance dance styles, which have separate Entry forms). Professional entries are R1, 000 per/dancer, per/dance style which includes the following: 1. Entrance to dance, irrespective of how many sections entered. 2. Free entrance into the Superbowl and Kings Ballroom for the full duration of Rumba in the Jungle International Dance Festival and Championships. 3. Includes a commemorative RITJ T Shirt and free entry to the Gala Evening, Saturday 5 August 2017 in the Sun City Super-Bowl (Note: This excludes Gala Dinner, which needs be purchased separately).

Entry fees for dancers only competing in Team matches is R150 per/dancer (i.e. for ALL Competitive genres and includes your RITJ commemorative T-Shirt, but excludes season entrance for the 4 day Programme). 5. Entry fees for dancers competing in 1 dance style only for the competing day is R150 per/dancer. This excludes entry to any of the competitions taking place over the Festival period, but includes the RITJ T-Shirt. Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances. No entries will be processed without proof of payment. These can be obtained from the office on info@rumbainthejunge.com ADJUDICATING PANEL: A rotating panel of judges will adjudicate this event and will comprise of WDC, SADF, SADTA and FEDANSA judges, International judges and adjudicators. Members of the panel will be announced closer to the event OFFICIAL COMPETITION VENUES: Sun City Superbowl & Kings Ballroom SPLIT DANCE FLOOR: The dance floor will be divided in two for certain sections where appropriate for that section /heat. 20m wide x 26m long.

7 VIDEO & FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY: No video recording or flash photography will be permitted during the competition. There will be an official/professional photographer on duty. PLEASE NOTE: 1. All competition take place in the Superbowl or Kings Ballroom 2. Tickets for spectators are only available through Computicket, there is Unreserved Seating in both venues, which Sun City Security will manage. 3. Two dance floors will be utilized when necessary. 4. A high level Programme schedule is included in the Presentation Form. 5. A detailed schedule will be sent out after the closing date of Rumba in the Jungle. It is subject to alteration, depending on the number of entries received. 6. In the event of any alteration, an up-date notification will be issued to each studio. 7.
