Time Will Spring Forward Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday, March 11. DST officially starts at 2 a.m. local time, so move your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night (March 10). BPA News Junior High Academic Awards Junior High Awards Banquet is being held at the Beef House March 5th at 6:30. Please confirm with Ms. Minick if you will be attending. The meal is free to the student and all others will pay $14. Please make checks out to North Vermillion. This banquet honors all A's and A/B honor roll for this semester and last semester. Students earning all A's receive a jacket with their last name embroidered on it, each semester after that all A's earn a star. Easter Sunday will be April 1, 2018 North Vermillion Business Professionals of America will be attending the State Leadership Conference in Indianapolis on March 11, 12, and 13. Spring Break 2018 March 19 31 will be Spring Break for NVS School Corporation. MOBILE BUS DATES March 2 March 9 March - 16 Mobile Bus This year we have one day to make up due to school cancellations. This will be made up on March 19, our first day of Spring Break, which was an approved Flex Day. This will be conducted as an elearning day. Students will not be at school but will be expected to complete assignments electronically. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school. NV 2018 Winter Homecoming On Saturday, February 17, 2018, North Vermillion upset South Putnam 55-40 to win their Homecoming. Trevor Eppert was high scorer with 19 points and 12 rebounds followed by Chris Ellis with 11 points and Gage Woodard with 8 points. Zyaan Taylor had five assists. Chris Ellis and Gabrielle Wilson were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. Chris is the son of Matt and Lisa Ellis, and Gabrielle is the daughter of Heather Hanner and Jeremy Kyger. Senior attendants were Nathan Roderick, Alex Jackson, Caleb Smith, Brianne Flinn, Maesa Myers, Chase Crowder, Brooke Bertram, and Caine Batman. The junior attendants were Trey Naylor and Cierra Cheuvront. Wyatt Reynolds and Ashley Thompson represented the sophomore class and the freshman attendants were Matthew Jackson and Jayden Nicholson. The North Vermillion Cheer Team hosted the homecoming festivities and the dance that followed.
