UPCOMING EVENTS INFO Boys Varsity Baseball (2/27 and 3/1) The first match will also be an away game this Wednesday against Cherokee High School. Their final match will be a home game against Forsyth Central HS this Friday. Good luck in all matches! Coed Varsity Tennis (2/27 and 3/1-2) Coed Varsity Tennis plays an away game tomorrow against Creekview High School at 4:00 p.m. Additionally, they will compete in the Jekyll Jam Friday and Saturday. Good luck in all of their matches. Varsity Soccer (3/1) Both varsity teams will also play an away game at Creekview High School this Friday, with the boys game starting at 5:45 p.m. while the Girls game begins after at 7:45 p.m. Coed Varsity Track (2/27 and 3/2) The RRHS Coed Varsity Track team have a track meet today around 4:00 p.m. They will face off against Woodstock in a home match. They will also compete in the Woodstock Invitational this Saturday starting at 8:00 a.m. Best of luck to all those who will be competing! JV Baseball (2/27) The RRHS Boys JV Baseball team will play against Creekview HS tomorrow. It will be a home match starting around 4:00 p.m. Good Luck! Varsity Lacrosse (2/27 and 2/28) Both Varsity Lacrosse team will play a match this week. The boys match is tomorrow night at Woodstock HS, with the match starting around 7:45 p.m. The girls game will be played the following day at River Ridge vs. Cherokee High School. 4

Girls Soccer Fundraiser (2/28) Head over to Panda Express after practice or after work, Thursday February 28th and support the Lady Knights Soccer Teams. Bring this flyer or show it on your phone at purchase and 20% will be donated to the Lady Knights. https://www.pandaexpress.com/en/fundraiser/flyer/264170 AP Exam Sign-Up (3/1) The last day to sign up for AP exams is March 1st. There will be an extra $20 dollar fee for those who have yet to sign up. JV Soccer (3/4) Both JV Soccer teams will play a home match next Monday vs. South Cobb HS. The boys game will begin around 5:30 p.m. while the girls match will follow at 7:00 p.m. 5

LAST WEEK HIGHLIGHTS Coed Varsity Track (2/13) The Track and Field teams took on Sequoyah Wednesday night to begin their season. The girls and boys each took home 1st place finishes in 8 of 16 events and the girls swept the top three places in the 100m and 200m races. The boys sweep the top three places in both the 110 and 300 hurdles, 400m, 4 100 and 4 400 relays. Numerous athletes posted personal bests or started the season where they left off last year. The teams are back in action on Wednesday February 27 at home against Woodstock. Field events at 4:15 running begins at 5:30. Girls Varsity Lacrosse (2/13) The Lady Knights put up a tremendous fight against Allatoona this past Monday. It was an exciting first half as both teams got after each other. Allatoona took a 5-4 lead into half. Jordan Pruitt, Hannah Vecsey, Hailey Efel, and Stephanie Willard each had a goal in the first half for the Knights. Allatoona edged their way to a five goal victory late in the second half. For the Knights, Hannah Vecsey, Zoe Nehrboss, Hailey Efel, and Stephanie Williard picked up goals in the last half. Efel, Vecsey, and Willard finished the night with two goals apiece. Goalkeeper Grace Hamrick finished the evening with four saves. Final score was 8-13. The Lady Knights return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Dalton. Boys Varsity Lacrosse (2/14) Strong offensive effort by the knights brought home a big non-region game win against Wheeler. Final score was 15-1. 6

Boys JV Soccer (2/14) We are so proud of the JV soccer team! They fought and won a fantastic 3-1 against Kell. Here s to many more wins to come! Boys Varsity Soccer @ Hillgrove The boys put up a fight, but ended up losing to Hillgrove High School 6-1. Girls Varsity Lacrosse (2/15) The Lady Knights made the long trip up I-75N this past Wednesday night and made sure the trip wasn t wasted as they defeated Dalton 9-5 for their first Area win of the season. It took the Lady Knights a few minutes to get into a groove but once they got going, they didn t let up. The Lady Knights started to move the ball around much better which allowed them to dominate possession time. Final score was 9-5. The Lady Knights next game will be their home opener against North Atlanta on Friday night. The JV Knights are in action at 5:30 followed by the varsity at 7:00. Please come on out and support the Lady Knights. Boys Varsity Lacrosse (2/18) Boys lacrosse falls in region plays to Allatoona. Final score was 1-15. 7

Girls Varsity Lacrosse (2/19) The Lady Knights fell to North Atlanta this past Friday night in their home opener 16-6. We dug ourselves a huge hole in the first half but the ladies stepped up and continued to compete in the second half. They showed some grit with their willingness to dig in and keep fighting. Hannah Vecsey led the offensive attack with three goals on the night while Hailey Efel added two goals and Stephanie Willard chipped in one. Hailey Efel had two nice assists while Hannah Vecsey added another. Final score was 16-6. Varsity Soccer (2/24) Lady Knights Varsity Soccer took control of the field against North Springs with several shots on goal in the first half and finally putting them in the net the second half. Four goals were scored in the second half by Caylee Gerold (2), Mia Rivera, and Alison Powell. A couple of great assists by Andrea Gomez and Lesly Estrella helped the Lady Knights secure a win! OTHER IMPORTANT NEWS The Voice We want to wish our very own Katelyn Hight the best of luck! She s taking on other contestants in the high-stakes televised singing competition, The Voice. 8
