As you rotate your kids clothes for the season change Please think about donating clean, used clothing to the clinic! If you come across any items your child has borrowed, please return those to the clinic also. We use them for our kids here at school for a myriad of accidents. I prefer elastic waist pants such as sweat pants, wind pants, yoga-type pants, etc., in any size, boys and/or girls styles. I have plenty of t-shirts and are just needing pants at this time. Thank you for anything you are able to donate to our kids. Jodi Behnke, R.N. Do you want to help a needy family have a wonderful Christmas? NOTES FROM THE NURSE We have been seeing more students getting sick with stomachaches and fevers. Even if it is just viral, remember they are still contagious! Just a reminder to always encourage your kids (and remember yourselves, too!) to wash their hands often and use good sneezing/coughing habits=cough in your sleeve/elbow. (Ask them about the video we show at school every year about that!) If your child does become sick: 1) Please call the attendance line to report their absence each day-881-0561; select attendance line and follow prompts. 2) Keep them at home for 24 hours AFTER any fever (without meds), vomiting, diarrhea symptoms 3) Make sure they can eat solid food and are not too weak to return to school. 4) Be considerate of other students and staff members so we don t expose everyone! Kids are allowed to make up all work they miss when they are sick! We want them at school, but we want them to be well enough to learn and do their work, too. We can make it through this cold and flu season but it will take everyone working together!
