Eridge Hunt Branch of the Pony Club JUNIOR CAMP Sunday 19 th August to Tuesday 21 st August at Juddwood Farm, Hayesden Lane, Tonbridge TN11 8AB All enquiries to Juliette Lilly juliettelilly@mayfieldsaddlery.co.uk Dear All This year we have separated out Junior and Mini camp. Junior will be for members who are off the lead rein and able to manage their own ponies, we anticipate 7 years and above. The cost for the 3 days is 150. Please pay by bank transfer to the Pony Club account: Account Name: The Eridge Hunt Branch of the Pony Club Sort Code: 40-52-40 Account Number: 00022251 Reference: Member s surname AND Junior Camp Closing date is for entries is Friday 28 th July. Entries will only be confirmed once the form below is completed and returned in hard copy to Juliette Lilly at the address below. Please note that the fee for camp is only refundable if you can provide a veterinary or doctor s certificate. Children: Children will be provided with lunch and tea, together with drinks and snacks during the day. Please make sure any medication for children is handed in to a member of staff on arrival. The children are expected to take care of their pony themselves for the duration of camp (including mucking out, tacking up, cleaning tack etc.) - therefore on the 2nd and 3rd morning of camp, please drop off at the gate and hand over to a member of staff who will then take them onto the stable yard. We do not encourage parents on the yard after the first morning s drop off as this causes a distraction. Children, both younger and older, whose ponies are staying overnight should arrive at camp 8.30am each morning in suitable clothes for mucking out. Those who are bringing their ponies in every day should arrive in time to ride at 10am you will still have been allocated a stable.

Parents should pick up their children each evening at 5.30pm. The younger members are invited to stay until 5.30pm if they would like to. However, if they are very tired and have had enough, they can be collected from 4pm onwards. There will be plenty of breaks and we will make sure that everyone is happy and looked after. If you are going home a bit early then we must make sure that your pony s feed is mixed and the haynet is filled before you go. On Tuesday afternoon we will have prize giving and parents are very welcome to watch from 2.30pm, stay for the prize giving and tea and cakes. Ponies: Ponies for both Camps must be at least five years old and must be up to date with flu and tet jabs. No pony will be allowed onto the yard on the first morning without a valid passport. This will then be kept for the duration of camp and handed back once your stable has been inspected on the last day. On the basis that most of the younger members last year elected to leave their ponies at Juddwood overnight everyone should bring the following: Hard feed for the ponies. Hay and straw will be provided, this is included in the cost, however you may bring your own shavings if you prefer. Ponies that are going home each night must obviously have enough hay for lunch time. Parents: It would be very much appreciated if you could spare some time on Saturday 18th August to help set up the arenas and on Tuesday afternoon to help clear up the show jumping arena. Please could parents help with the provision of cakes and biscuits for tea time. We get through a lot of cakes! For any queries please contact Juliette Lilly juliettelilly@mayfieldsaddlery.co.uk Best wishes Adele Nichols DC
