Team Fast Facts and Info It is NV's 15 th season as a club sport Starting in 2005 we became associated with IHSWLA Planning on 2 teams: Varsity and JV Tryouts scheduled to begin Monday, February 27 th and 28 th 2017 Players Indoor Sports Varsity and JV tryouts ~ 3:30-5:00pm The season runs from early March end of May with practice every day Please note there may be some overlap with Fine Arts --- know your calendars. Games are during the week with an occasional game on Saturday Our practice field is at the gold building in the field near the library Our home game field is at Commissioners Park on 111th.

Fast Facts: Registration The cost per athlete is $550* The Fee covers:... field rentals, trainers, officials, coaches salaries, uniforms, equipment, buses for most away games, insurance, concussion impact baseline evaluation, etc. If you pay your registration fee by December 16 th, a $25 discount* available or you can pay in 3 payments: $200 @ 12/16, $175 @ 1/15, and $175 @ 2/15. $50 uniform deposit is refunded at the end of the year when the athlete turns in her uniform and pinnie, washed and in good shape. Mandatory US Lacrosse membership, cost $35.00. Fast Facts: Equipment Needed: Player will need: a stick, goggles, mouth guard and navy compression shorts for under her kilt. It is highly recommended, but not required, she also have: cleats, a white Under Armor long sleeve shirt for under her uniform top and navy (or black) Under Armor leggings/tights for cold days. May want to consider Boathouse (discussed later)
Fast Facts: Baseline Concussion Testing: Athletico to offer NVHS Girls Lacrosse student-athletes ImPACT Concussion Baseline Testing. When: December 1, 2016-January 27, 2017 Where: at its Naperville Clinic 3344 S. Route 59 (next to Wild Tuna). How: To schedule your baseline test: call 630.778.9880 inform the operator that you are member of the NVHS Girls Lacrosse team and that you would like to schedule a baseline concussion test. The cost of this baseline test is included in your team fees. Who: Incoming Players who have not had ImPACT Testing done at NVHS Returning Players who did not have ImPACT testing done at NVHS last year

Neuqua Valley Girls Lacrosse IHSA Sanctioning of Lacrosse: What does it mean to be a sanctioned sport? What is the difference between sanctioned and supported? IHSA Sanctioned for 2018 Season News Release http://www.ihsa.org/newsmedia/announcements/tabid/93/id/939/ihsa-boys-girls-lacrosse- State-Series-to-Begin-in-Spring-of-2018.aspx 11/07/16, 11/21/16, 12/12/16- Next scheduled IPSD Board Meetings http://board.ipsd.org/meetings.aspx Current status in District 204 There is no obligation for a high school to make lacrosse a varsity sport after the IHSA sanctions the sport. It is up to the individual schools' administrators to decide whether or not to make a sport part of their varsity program. It is also the decision of the schools' administrators to determine the level of support, financial or otherwise, the program gets. It is likely that some schools will continue to have lacrosse as a "parent funded, parent run" club while other schools will migrate to "school funded, school run" programs
