C.B.S.E. CLUSTER XIX TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP 2016 Programme details Please find the details mentioned for the championship. Kindly go through the contents carefully and share it with the coaches / managers who will accompany the team so that they are in knowledge of the required information: 1. DATES & DETAILS OF THE EVENT Date & Time of reporting at Ghaziabad : 7 th Oct. (FRI) before 03:00 PM Managers/Coaches Meeting : 7 th October 2016 (FRI) at 05:00 PM Inauguration of Event : 8 th October 2016 (SAT) at 09:00 AM Closing Ceremony of Event : 9 th October 2016 (SUN) at 04:00PM 2. REPORTING VENUE OF TEAMS ON ARRIVAL All the teams will have to arrive either at Ghaziabad Railway Station /Ghaziabad Bus Stand & will have to report to the helpdesk at the respective places on 7 th Oct. between 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM. 3. MATCH DETAILS All the matches will be played at school premises. Under 19 Girls AUDITORIUM Under 17 Girls AUDITORIUM Under 14 Girls AUDITORIUM 4. IMPORTANT INFORMATION (a) No accommodation will be provided by the organizing school to any parents who Accompanies the participant. (b) The Managers and Coaches will have to stay with participants and will be responsible for their belongings and conduct of their team as per rules. (c) The team has to bring their own locks & Keys, torch, soap, tooth paste, tooth brush, towels and any particular medicines required by players etc. (d) The participating teams are not allowed to carry any jewellery, hard cash, etc. The school will not be responsible for lost/misplaced of any valuable items or belongings of the team. (e) A Security amount of Rupees 1000/- should be deposited at the time of registration. Security deposit will be refunded at the time of the departure on producing No Dues slip from the school In-charge.

5. FOOD:- (a) Arrangement will be made by the organising school to provide meals from evening snacks on 7 th October, 2016 till Breakfast of 10 th October 2016 for the teams staying at school premises on the payment of Rs.350 per day, per head. (b) The 1 st day s payment (7 th Oct) will be Rs. 150/- per head for evening snacks and dinner. (c) The last day s payment (10 th Oct) will be Rs. 75/- per head for breakfast. (d) Food charges should be made for all the days on the arrival of the team. In case any team is leaving before the scheduled dates, the charges will be refunded for the remaining days on 24hrs of prior intimation. 6. ACCOMMODATION:- It will be arranged for outstations teams only on request. Outstation teams are requested to send the Travel Plan in advance intimating the date, time and train number of arrival and departure. Dormitory type of accommodation will be provided for the players and the coaches in the school premises. Please download the Travel Plan Form. 7. DISQUALIFICATIONS:- 1) If the ineligibility of any member of the team is detected. 2) Inclusion of the non bonafide student in the team. 3) Misbehavior on ground by athlete or accompanying official. 4) Use of abusive language by athlete or accompanying official. 5) Misbehaving with the officials/ opponents by athlete or accompanying official. 6) Indiscipline at the place of staying by athlete or accompanying official. 7) Damaging the school property. 8) Indiscipline during the opening and closing ceremonies by athlete or accompanying official. 9) Non participation in the March Past. 8. PROTEST:- Protest of nature in connection with the tournament shall be in writing and must read by the organizing secretary and CBSE observer within 1 hour of the declaration of the result, duly accompanied by the fee of Rs. 1000/- The decision taken by the jury of appeal will be final and binding. 9. TO BE SENT ALONG WITH REGISTRATION FORM (a) All participating schools must attach the proof of payment of Annual sports fee 2016-17 along with the entry Performa.

(b) Team photograph with the manager and coach along with entry Performa and eligibility certificate must be counter signed by the Principal. 10. THINGS TO BE BROUGHT (a) School Flags -1 (flag rods will be provided by organizing school) (b) To provide the online registered documents- UID with photo, apply to participate (players list) for verification. (c) To supply the team photo with School principal, counter-signed by the Principal. (d) To provide Xerox copy of sports fee receipt for the year 2016-17. (e) Team managers accompanying the team shall handover valid identity card issued by the school principal. (f) If any team not fulfilling the eligibility criteria before the commencement of the tournament shall not be permitted to participate. 11. All the matches will be played according to the rules of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) as adopted by them from time to time, unless otherwise modified in these rules by the CBSE. 2. Every School will be entitled to enter one team in each age group separately in Girls category. 3. In Girls Category, the team shall consist of maximum four & minimum two players. 4. The order of play shall be as follows : Girls Category (i) A v/s X (ii) B v/s Y (iii) Doubles (iv) A v/s Y (v) B v/s X

5. The matches up to quarter final stage will be played as best of three games. Semi final & final matches will be played as best of five games. 6. The balls to be used in the tournament shall be ITTF approved. 7. The teams winning first three positions shall be awarded with the Merit Certificates. Not more than four Merit Certificates will be awarded to a team. 8. The remaining teams shall be distributed with the Participation Certificates. 9. From each Cluster, the First position winning teams in each age group, separately in Girls category, shall qualify to participate in the Nationals. 10. No change in composition of team from Cluster level to National level will be allowed. 11. The school Organizing Cluster level competition shall take a Group Photo of the teams/individual Players that have qualified to participate at National level competition. The photo shall be signed by the host school Principal and forwarded to the school organizing along with the original entry Performa. 12. At Cluster level the Tournament will be organized on Knock out basis. 13. At National level team championship shall be organized on league cum knock out basis. INDVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP NATIONAL LEVELS (a) (b) (c) (d) In addition to the team championship, separate Individual Championship will be conducted. At National levels, the Individual Championship shall be organized on knock out basis. The scoring system will be the same. From each Cluster, the first & second position winning player of Individual Championship shall qualify to participate in the Nationals. IMPORTANT 1. Players can take time out for one minute, once in whole match. 2. Expedite system shall come into operation if a game is unfinished after 10 minutes play. If the expedite system is introduced, all subsequent games of the match shall be played under the expedite system. 3. Play shall be continuous throughout a match except that a player is entitled to: (a) (b) An interval of up to one minute between successive games of a match. Brief intervals for toweling after 6 points from the start of each game and at the change of ends in the last possible game of a match. 4. In each age group, as per TTFI ranking list, the top ten ranking players shall be eligible to play directly at National level in Individual Championship. However, if any player, ranking in top ten, has played at respective Cluster level Individual Championship, and has lost, shall no more be eligible to participate in Individual championship at National level. 5. A player shall be under 15; 17 &19 years of age on 31 Dec. 2016 Under 14 years : Born on or after 01.01.2003 Under 17 years : Born on or after 01.01.2000 Under 19 years : Born on or after 01.01.1998
