This selection was prophetically appropriate. Fight the team across the field, show them Ohio s here, yes, Ohio was definitely here as the Elks defeated the Golden Eagles 38-37 in double overtime classic. Hit them hard and see how they fall, never let that team get the ball, that is Centerville football; hard hitting blocking and tackling combined with a superior ball control offense. This was truly one of the finest, and most exciting, high school football games I have ever watched let alone actually be a part of, said Coach Ullery. As those who were at the game can attest to, the Naples Golden Eagles were an outstanding football team with many outstanding individuals on their team. It took a total team effort for 48 minutes (and beyond) from our players to come out on top in this game. This is exactly what we got from our players. I many times tell them, "Be a Centerville football player." They certainly were in this game. In the 4th quarter the Elks had two 80 yard drives, They never gave up, they played relentlessly, they showed extreme mental toughness, they didn't back down from anything the opponent put in front of them, and every single player put the team ahead of themselves, said Coach Ullery. The Elks were first class on the field and perfect gentlemen off the field. I could not have been prouder of how they represented all former football alumni that in many ways gave them this opportunity, nor could I have been prouder of how they represented their families, Centerville High School, the Centerville community, and the entire state of Ohio. I can't tell you how many compliments were thrown at our players from Floridians and many from all over the state of Ohio who happened to attend the game about how they carried themselves before, during, and after the game. "That is a classy group of kids you have there was the comment I heard over and over. It was definitely a special trip.

Elks - Firebirds Preview Coach Ullery s preview of the Fairmont game: This is a game that will make Fairmont's season" each and every year if they can come out on top. They will be bringing an experienced team into Centerville Stadium Friday night, especially on defense. A year ago it took two major special team mistakes on Fairmont's part to give us a short field late in the game and to win a 17-14 game that we really didn't play well enough in to deserve to win. We must quickly forget last week's game and focus on what is in front of us to continue getting better throughout the second half of the season. Fairmont is a dangerous opponent. Page 4
