F.A.N. (Family Art Night) 2015 Hosted by Winkley PTA in collaboration with Reflections Let Your Imagination Fly! Winkley would like to thank these artists for coming and sharing their passion and talent! PTA Board Member Spotlight: Angela Parker 3rd VP - Fundraising Ben - 2nd Grade Laney- Kindergarten Anderson - 2yrs. I currently have three kids 2-8yrs old and we are in the process of starting a foster family. I wanted to join the PTA because life is so busy. I'm almost always out of the loop and always last to hear about activities and school events. I decided to be proactive and not only join the PTA but become a Board member. I am so grateful for the opportunity because I've learned that the PTA is way more than an occasional meeting. We do so much for our school, teachers, and students. As well as the community! I've also made a lot of great friendships! No Cook Nights Take the day off from cooking, enjoy a great meal and support your school all in one night! Nov. 2nd- PDQ Nov. 17th - Bush s Chicken Please mention Winkley Elementary when ordering! 2

Now showing: Inside Out It s going to be a movie night like you ve never seen! Dr. Brady and one lucky - or unlucky - faculty member will go in the DUNK TANK! Be sure to join us at 6pm to watch the fun - and then stick around for pizza and movie fun! Breakfast with Santa December 5, 2015 9am 1pm Admission is FREE!!! November 6th at 6pm Tis the Season to be jolly! Breakfast with Santa is a favorite yearly tradition at Winkley that brings together families, friends, and community members for festive activities, holiday shopping, food and, of course, SANTA! Food will be served in the cafeteria, while our talented 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade carolers sing for your yuletide pleasure. Vendors will deck the halls (and gym) of Winkley! The day wouldn t be complete without holiday games, festive crafts, face painting, book fair, pictures with Santa and fun door prizes! We are very excited for a few new activities this year: Ugly Sweater Contest, Photo Booth and Instrument Petting Zoo. Breakfast with Santa needs your help to make it a success! If you d like to volunteer, please visit the Winkley PTA website to sign-up for your short 2 hour spot: http://winkley.my-pta.org If you d like to make a donation to be used as a door prize, please email winkleybws@gmail.com. Thank you to the many volunteers in October that helped with Wednesday folders, Watch DOGS, Family Art Night, Walk 4 Winkley, the LISD Clothes Closet, Lost & Found, Donuts with Dad, front office and library support, No Cook Nights, and school pictures! We could not do it without you! Wanna help in No vember? Visit www.winkley.my-pta.org and click on the Volunteer tab at the top to learn more. 3

Liam Gaither raised $340 Top Class who won the pizza party: Ms. Tan PTA Sponsored Book Fair November 19 & 20th from 7:15-3:30 November 29-December 4th 7:15-3:30 December 5th - During Breakfast with Santa - 9am - 1pm December 7th 7:15 until 12pm Runners who ran the most laps will have their name on the wall in the MPR. An assembly will be held to personally name these runners. They will also receive a certificate of achievement and a Walk4Winkley brag tag! During this assembly, Mr. Archibald and Mr. Wroblewski will race to see who will join Dr. Brady in the dunk tank. Our 2015 Walk4Winkley was such an amazing success, not only in helping to fund this years activities, but also the fun spirit it brought to the school. We enjoyed seeing all of those smiling faces, and the excitement from our Wolverines. We're not sure who had more fun, the students or the many volunteers who helped soak them! The Winkley PTA donates all proceeds back to the library to buy new books! Take Charge of Education Did you know that Target will donate 1% of your REDcard purchases to Winkley Elementary? Please visit www.target.com for information and to link your REDcard with Winkley Elementary. Program ends 5/14/16. 4
