Fair Entry! As you all know, this year we will be all paperless! All entries will be done through the new program called Fair Entry. Fair Entry works side by side with 4-H Online information. Entries for ALL livestock, clothing events, communication events, and table setting events were due online by 4:30pm on July 1st in addition to all beef entry payments. Static exhibits will ALL also be entered online. This will be open from June 1, 2015 to July 11, 2015. This will require you to identify the project you plan to bring. When you arrive at judging day you will simply pick up a completed, printed out tag for your project and attach it! No more waiting in line to fill out a bunch of tags! Letters have been sent out to each family with directions on how to sign up. These directions are also available on 4-H Online. Please note that all FFA Members will have a different set of directions than 4-H Members. Please know that this program is new to both you and us. We are working our best to assist all families as best possible. If you have questions, please don t hesitate to email me hpeck@iastate.edu, give me a call 712.623.2592 or stop in the office for assistance! Hallie Iowa State Fair ALL Iowa State Fair entries and payments were due to the Extension Office by July 1, 2015. Please note this will be an additional entry than the county fair Fair Entry process. Hello from the 4-H/ FFA Concession Stand Committee, We would like to express our excitement for the upcoming 2015 Montgomery County Fair! We are excited to announce that that we are continuing to improve the Concession Stand. This year we received a grant to replace the roof and add permanent fixtures. Along with the new improvements, we are going to introduce a few new menu items. To list a few, for a nice cool refreshment we will have slushies, for a great anytime snack we will have buttery popcorn and for a sugar snack we will have Cotton Candy. In addition to our new menu items and building, we would also like to remind you of an alternative purchasing option we are now offering for anyone to use. We will be selling food punch cards at $10 and $20 values. To be clear, the punch cards will not be the only way to buy food from the concession stand. Anyone can still pay with cash anytime. However, if you are a frequent customer at the food stand throughout fair week, you may find it more convenient to use a punch card instead of cash. You may purchase a card at the Extension Office before fair or at the concession stand anytime during fair. It s very simply to use. After purchasing either a $10 or a $20 value card, take it to the food stand and present the card to the cashier to pay for your food/drinks, and they will punch the amount that you spent from the card. Please be aware that this card is non-refundable, meaning that if it is lost, stolen, or not completely used by the end of fair, we will not refund the remaining value. We hope that you take advantage of the new changes we are implementing with our concession stand. Thank you for your support; we look forward to seeing you at the 2015 Montgomery County Fair! Thank you, 4-H/ FFA Concession Stand Committee 4-H PLEDGE I PLEDGE MY HEAD TO CLEARER THINKING, MY HEART TO GREATER LOYALTY, MY HANDS TO LARGER SERVICE, AND MY HEALTH TO BETTER LIVING, FOR MY CLUB, MY COMMUNITY, MY COUNTRY, AND MY WORLD.
